Karissa donated her hair to locks of love today

I never thought she'd do it. She was really attached to her hair but I think its so cute!

My girl did that Saturday. She's had her long hair for all of her life, 15 years, and just got up one day and said that's it Im ready to let it go. They took off 2 ponytail's to send in and she love her new adorable cut.

I've been donating to Locks of Love for a long time. I go about two years between donations and since my hair is so thick they can get two ponytails each time.

It is about time to get my hair cut again and it is driving me crazy - every time I pull it back I have to remind myself why I'm letting it get so long. It is a great cause, it doesn't cost me any money to help and I feel good when I make the donation.

My own DD at age 8 donated 12 inches at our local relay for life.

3 year later she and her older sister again donated about 10 inches each.

I keep waiting for her to say she wants to cut it again, I figure we will do it one more time.
