Kardiebelle's Journal comments welcome!!

Milwaukee is rainny today. But it is very nice out. Upper 70's. Today I did my 2 mile walk with walk away the pounds.

lunch grilled chicken salad with fat free dressing.
dinner we ordered the best pizza in Milwaukee called Mr. D's it so good. A small owned family resturant. We ordered a small cheese and sausage and a order of fries I didn't eat any fries and I had 3 pieces of pizza (they were cut in squares) I also had a salad with fat free ranch.

I did good. I am feeling great. I wish only great things for everyone. Good luck with all of you life changing ways. Smiles

Kardiebelle -- great job on exercising again today! Is that 3 days in a row for WATP? You must be so incredibly proud of yourself. You are definitely NOT dieting. You have made so many healthy lifestyle changes and adding exercise to your routine is something you always hear people struggling with. You wrestled that monster to the ground right off the bat.
Congratulations!
Oh, and thank you so much for telling me Olive Garden has whole wheat pasta. I had NO idea and it does not appear anywhere on our menu or on their website. So, I asked "I heard a very nice rumor that you have whole wheat pasta. Is that true?" and our waiter said yes. It was absolutely delicious with arrabiata sauce. Keep that in mind when you go there next time, especially if you like spicy food.

Thanks again. Talk to you tomorrow!

Hi Kardiebelle, it has been a while since I've visited you, but I am finally starting to get caught back up! Sounds like you are doing great on your exercising and food choices! Keep it up! You don't have to spend a bunch of money to lose weight, you can always walk for exercise, use soup cans for weights and you have to buy groceries anyway, just be sure to stock up on those fruits and veggies!

Hi Kardiebelle! Thanks for the good wishes! Send some of that pizza over here! Lol! Nice job, you're doing AWESOME!

No exercise today because my sister came over for dinner. When she comes over they stay so late because we visit. So I went right to bed when she left. I figured that it was o.k. because I was 3 days in a row.

Breakfast 1 cold piece of pizza from last nights dinner. Still Great!!!!
lunch 1 cup of chicken with rice soup and a grilled cheese sandwich on whole wheat
dinner salad with 2 TBSP of fat free ranch, 1 cheese and onion enchilada, 1/4 cup of mexican rice, and 1/4 cup of refried beans DH didn't make this I did. I secretly watched his mom make the rice and enchiladas.

I will try to get in the exercise tomarrow. Till Later! Smiles and great wishes for all.

Hello Today I took the kids for a walk to our VA Hospital. Only a couple of blocks away. Then we kept walking and found a pound that I never saw. We went by the pound and there were 2 beautiful Swans swimming in it. DD loved it. We stayed there for 10 min watching them and then we walked back. On our way back DS3 got very tired. So it took DS10months out of the stroller and carried him while I pushed DS3 in it. I was so tired. We were not walking fast either because anyone who had kids knows that fast walking is not possible. But by time we got home 1 hour passed. Minus the 10 min at the pond we were walking for 50 min. Time passes by when you are busy. I will see tonight how I feel to do the WATP DVD. I feel like I already got my exercise I should do that mor often with the kids they need it also. DD walked the whole time with a little complaining but she still did it. I think I tired them all out because DS10months went straight to nap. DS3 and DD4 pulled out the coloring books and layed on the floor and colored for 1.5 hours. Now they want me to start at lunch.

breakfast 2 waffles with about 2TBSP of light syrup
lunch turkey Sandwich and veggies possibly have a lowfat yogurt

I will update later SMILES

Hi everyone, Well after recovering from the walk I went and started to think about what was for dinner. I decided on lasagna. I went and made myself a salad and had one piece of lasagna. I really wanted another piece so I got one. I know that I should of not have grabbed it but I did the damage is done. Then after dinner and a small snack a 7:45 I made popcorn for kids and DH. But guess who ate it too. ME!!! I am not going to snack anymore tonight. And considering that I had a 50 min walk with kids I should be alright. My water was 3.5 liters. Good luck to everyone else. kardiebelle

Hi Kardiebelle!

You know - if you're anything like me, it's always best to eat something you really want and not let it turn into a huge binge if you deny the craving...good job! Plus you've done so well with exercise and water - it's all good, right?

I am really enjoying your journal - thanks so much! And thank you for your support of me as well...

Have a magnificent and marvelous weekend!!!

jenn.

Thanks Storygirl

Your support is great also. I look forward to your comments. You are right though about the binging. The other day I was wishing for a brownie and held it off for a few days and then I finally cut myself a piece 2 days ago and ate it. It was a very small piece and after I was done I was satisfied and I am not wishing for a piece anymore.

Today for breakfast DH had off this morning and we went out to eat. I ordered a fresh fruit plate and a blueberry muffin the I shared with DD. The fruit was soooo gooooood! Very refreshing. I did sneek 1 bite of scrambled egg from DD :guilty: Talk to you later. Enjoying the morning with DH and kids. The blue angles are in milwaukee this weekend. I am thinking about taking the kids but I know the crowds are oing to be huge and I will be by myself with three kids. Not sure what I am going to do. Smiles

Hi Kardibelle!

Thought it was due time i popped in here and said hello! :flower:
And what do I see you had for breakfast the other day... cold pizza!!! One of my absolute faves!! (well used to be! hehe) No one ever seems to understand how good it can be! :goodvibes

Great job on your exercising and good food choices. You are definitely on your way to success!!

Have a great day!
Mike

Cold pizza is the best MIKE.

Lunch I had 2 pieces of pizza (not cold though)
Dinner mixture that gramma made mac and cheese with hamburger and a can of diced tomatoes. If you like tomatoes this is for you. But gram also made it with corn and also mushroom soup. I am not a fan of the mushroom soup one. Taste pretty bad to me but my brothers and sisters love it. DD loves the one with tomatoes. I only had a small size plate of this. :) with a salad and water

Water intake 3 liters

Exercise: I did it! I did it! I did it! I did it! I did WATP for the 4 mile edition. It was 1 hour long boy it was hard. I had a great time though. These DVD are really for me. I am glad I found something for me. I will update tomarrow. Smiles kardiebelle

Well happy saturday to all. I hope everyone is having a great weekend. My DH has off today so he is watching the British Open. SO BORING! It is quite warm here today so we might just stay in. I know we have to go grocery store today but that's it.

breakfast 2 pieces of whole wheat toast with country crock spread 200
frozen yogurt 80
(did anyone ever try this I take a carton of yogurt and put in the freezer till frozen. Then I eat it.) It is a great substitute to Ice Cream.

Water working on finishing my 1 liter this morning.

Hi Kardibelle!

If you do end up staying in from the heat I hope you can find something more thrilling than the British Open to watch eventually! I will probably be staying in myself as I seem to have picked up a cold that is knocking me down.
I did the freezing the yogurt trick just the other night, I mixed some vanilla yogurt and chopped bing cherries and popped it in the freezer, turned out very yummy & refreshing.
Congrats on doing your 4 mile workout, that is great!! :goodvibes

Have a happy & healthy saturday!
Mike :flower:

Happy Saturday Kardiebelle!!! Congratulations on the 4 miles!!! That is fantastic! I love your idea about freezing yogurt...I used to freeze grapes way back when but never tried yogurt...hmmmmm...

I hope you have a great Saturday! Stay cool - the temps up here are obnoxious, so I'm guessing you all have the same!

Jenn

Hello! Brand new to the board and I appreciated your reply to my first journal entry. I have read through all of your entries, and you seem to have it together! I have jotted down some of your meal ideas to use!

I did the 4 mile WATP DVD today again. I feel good. I was looking at the dates and I hae been here for 1 month and 2 days now. I feel better although I don't seem to see the changes in my body but DH does. We went to go see charlie and the chocolate factory and I loved it. It is so good. We ordered popcorn with butter and I ate some of it then I got real upset afterwards. My somach just was not handling it very well. But DH finished it off and we got the refill and brought it home to DH family because they were watching the kids. I also just bought the Harry Potter book and I am excited to read it.

Yesterday
lunch tater tots and a hotdog
afternoon snack popcorn
dinner applebees weight watchers tango chicken sandwich. 370 I think? But I had no cheese or BBQ ranch spread with it. So the calories were less.

Today Day 32

Breakfast McD's sausage mcmuffin and a parfait
lunch bacon and turkey sandwich on whole wheat with lettuce and tomato
dinner 1.5 bowls of Hamburger Soup (sound strange but is good when you need a little plain food in your life) All it is, is ground beef, elbow noodles, water, tomato sauce and morten's natural seasoning oh yeah I also had a huge salad with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers from my garden.

I had a huge garden issue today that I still have yet to fix. My 2 tomato plants were lying flat on the ground this afternoon. I went out there and the sticks that I had them tied to were weighed down and now I cant get them back up. I can't believe I waited so long to put the metal thingy around them. Then they just got to big so I had to tie them up with string and sticks. I hope I am not going to lose them. They have so many tomatoes on them.

Well I hope everyone else has a teriffic night as well.

Good morning, Kardiebelle!

I'm still catching up from being gone and it looks like you've been doing AWESOME!!

I LOVE the WATP 4 mile. (Haven't done it since I've been back, but hopefully today is the day!) That and the 3 mile ABS are my favs.

Have a great Monday!

Hi Kardibelle!

Congrats on your continued success with WATP!!!
I must say that as soon as I saw the phrase "Hambuger Soup" I knew exactly what you meant!! Were we separated at birth?? hehe!! That is definitely a dish I know well from my childhood.

Good luck with the garden crisis!! If it passes do we get free tomatoes??!
Have a great one!
Mike :goodvibes

Hi, Kardibelle! I know I haven't been here in a while, but I have definitely been thinking of you often and thank you so much for visiting my journal. I am so impressed with how diligent you have been with the WATP tapes. I am sitting here thinking, "hmmmm. . .. . I should go home and do one, so I can tell Kardibelle she inspired me to do it", and then I think about how sore my back is, and the fact that I did 2.39 miles this morning at 6 a.m. outside, and that I am going to do at least that much and maybe more tomorrow, and I go naaaaahhhhh.

So, it looks like you are being very conscientious about what you are eating and you are doing so great with exercising. I bet your clothes are becoming much more comfortable!

Keep up the great work! I LOVE hearing all about your success!

Hugs,
Cam

Hey cam my success also comes from you. Without you and your encouragment I would still be eating CHIPS.

Day 33

I cant remember what I ate. :rotfl2: If I don't write it down that day it completly leaves my brain. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: The more kids I have the worse it gets. :rotfl2:

I do remember taking a walk by myself in the morning then I JOGGED for 3 blocks :earseek: Then I walked the rest of the way.

So.......
Do you see the new clippie down there. :) Got on the scale today and it read 189.5!!!!! I am so happy to see the scale going down. I know that some of you out there are thinking 189.5 thats nothing but I was 201.5 and I feel great. I know that my body will never be the same after kids but at least I feel good, right! So far I lost 12 pounds!
Lets talk about today DH had off of work and we went to the mall to buy his sister a gift for her birthday. Although I didn't exercise today I figured this is my day off. :flower:

Day 34

Breakfast bowl of cereal 140
lunch red lobster salad and grilled chicken with wild rice pilaf very good and my total dinner was only 500 calories
dinner chicken pattie and tater tots with corn 500 cal.

total: 1140 with a couple handfuls of popcorn

Water 2 liters

Have a great weight loss day (or in my case night) :goodvibes
