Hello kardiebelle, I am AmyT. Congrats on the 3 lbs lost! Keep up the good work! I just started a journal and I hope I can use it to keep my snacking under control... Sounds like you should have no problem keeping active looking after 3 little ones! Playing with them burns all kinds of calories! Keep up the excellent work!

Hi out there, Today was good. I am not struggling very hard these past few days because I got rid of all of the unhealty food. It is so much easier to do that than to sit there in the kitchen and look at it pick it up and then struggle to put it back down. Instead of chips at the store grab pretzals. There are always a better choice out there it is just what is the right choice for you. I am sure that alot of people out there do the same thing that I do but they choose the chips over pretzals because I used to do it. With that being said here is my day.

Breakfast 2 eggs and a sliced hotdog scrambbled 290
lunch roasted chicken breast subway sandwich 395

You're doing great. But you know what helps me? Thinking of this change as not a diet, but a lifestyle change. Diets seem so temporary, and fake, and it's okay to crash and burn for like three weeks. But a lifestyle change is something you have to maintain, that you will live everyday to your fullest potential (diet- and life-wise) as long as you have the extra weight.

Keep on keeping on! I'm proud of you, your hubby's proud, and your kids are C-u-t-e!!

thanks tigercheer2009 you are so right. This in not a diet this is a lifestyle change. I am not only doing this for myself but for my children and DH. It seems that I do everything for them but I have to live with myself for the rest for my life. The support is what I look forward too because it keep me motivated to keep going.

I am sitting here waiting to take DK's out to watch fireworks in the yard. So I decided to enter in my journal for the day. DH cooked out and the food was so good. It' was just us so it was noce and the clean up was so easy. Happy 4th of july everyone. I hope it was good for everyone.

Breakfast 2 french toast 1 sausage link
lunch chicken and broccoli pot pie
dinner salad, hamburger, hotdog, and corn on the cob. everything was so good I know that I shouldn't have had the hotdog :confused3 but I thought that it would be o.k. because I earned it. I love grilled food.

tomarrow is weigh day wish me luck. talk to you tomarrow.

Hi, Kardiebelle! I don't know how you do it, having your hands full with the children and being almost a single parent at times. I just wanted to congratulate you on being so vigilant about what you are eating and journalling it! I hope you see wonderful results on the scale today. But you have to remember that the scale is not the only measure of your success! You are adapting a healthier lifestyle, setting a great example for your children, and taking care of YOU. No one else can do that. You are solely responsible for your physical well-being.

I wanted to respond to a question you had and to make a suggestion. I know you said fitday has yogurt at a lot more calories than your yogurt container says -- I am sure you are eating light yogurt. You might want to use that nutrition information instead. My weight watchers leaders have always said that if there is nutrition information on a package, to use that instead of what on-line nutrition information says.

Second thing -- I LOVE hot dogs, too. Can I suggest either healthy choice or hebrew national reduced fat hot dogs? They are either 50 or 70 calories each with very little fat. I put one of those on a wonder light hot dog roll with ketchup and relish and chopped onion or with mustard and it is absolutely outrageously delicious and satisfying. I can have 2 of them for less calories than one regular hot dog on a regular roll. Much healthier alternative without giving up on the great taste.

Keep up the great work! Have an awesome day! I hope the scale is good to you.

Thanks for the :wizard: everyone. I much need it. This morning the scale read 194. I am soooooooo happy I am down 7.5 pounds since I started this lifestyle change. DH congratulated me this morning. It really helps when you get the support from DH. If there was only one thing that I could tell people out there who are on a DIET. I would tell them to get the support of someone who really loves you for who you are no matter. You know that they are not judging you for eating that extra hotdog but they let you know that you shouldn't eat it. Even though you do. The support that you get from these boards too is great. I could not have done it without the support from all of you out in DIS WISH world. :goodvibes hugs to all DISWISH members :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: and a    to make you smile

YIPPEE!!! :cheer2: You GO, Kardiebelle! :goodvibes I bet you are on :cloud9: . Your efforts are paying off BIG time!

Enjoy the progress (Don't celebrate with food, though ;) ). I usually reward myself with some down time (a bath or a walk) or a new "tool", like a cookbook or food scale. :earboy2: Sounds silly, but it really reinforces the good habits.

I am so glad your DH supports you so much. :love2: My DH is awesome that way too! It makes such an incredible difference! :flower:

Have a great day :grouphug: and keep up the great work!
