Kanye West - Crying.

You know - I dont even like that guy. I think he's a presumptious jerk - BUT did anyone else see the video of him at a concert last night (I think):

It's about a minute fifteen seconds in...if you dont wanna sit through it.

I felt so BAD for him. UGH! Having lost my mom, the way he was just hunched over sobbing, I felt his pain.

Poor guy. I can't even imagine what he's going through. If I lost my mom I don't know what I would do.

SSB flew to Salt Lake City to see him (from Orlando) with U2.. so a big fan... and happened to be on the same Delta flight. He was so great with all aboard signing autographs for flight attendants, etc... that became even more of a fan.

Later saw him in Miami at a huge-o art show, and again very nice.

I love his love of his mother, and know that it must have been so very, very devastating for him... my own still hurts to this day and long ago.

Thats really great to hear - that he isnt 'too good' for his fans.

And yes - the emotions are still very raw (January 2006, for mine) and seeing him hunches over sobbing, made me feel that pain all over again.

As much as I disliked him for his "diarrhea of the mouth".....I feel horrible for him.

I can only imagine the terrible loss he is feeling and the raw pain. I wish him the best and healing prayers. I can't imagine losing a parent.

I saw that, just heart-wrenching. I like Kanye, love his music and even when he makes a big pompous *** out of himself, he recognizes it and laughs at himself (in front of the nation on SNL and the Emmy's no less). I remember watching an MTV special when he was first hitting it big and his mom was on it. You could see just how strong their bond was and how much he loved and respected her. So sad.

So agree with you... the big ego part of the "show". I love how he weaves gospel music into his music, and his love of his mother so very clear always in his music. After viewing listened to "Hey Momma" on Itunes, and cried thinking of his pain, and others... and remembering my own mother. One of the few times that my DD has seen me cry, but out of love, so a very good thing.
