91 touchdowns this weekend! More storms coming later today! Hope help is on the way for them. Does anyone have relatives in the damaged areas?

Terrible. I have been thinking about those folks:angel:

We have been sitting by the TV all day today. We just had another tornado warning but this time it was a few miles east of us. After 3 days of storms and tornado warnings for our county all 3 days I'm ready for it to quit.

My best friend just called me and was back from her Dad's. He lives on a farm about 40 miles from here and he had some damage but the town close to him, Trousdale, KS had damage. She told me that her church was destroyed. It's an old church, probably over 100 years old.

Our news is on and they are showing pictures of Greensburg again and it is just awful. The school superindent canceled school for the rest of the year, which I can see since the schools are gone. I guess the govenor is going to speak in just a few minutes.

Sending positive thoughts. Stay safe everyone.

Broke my heart when I saw that town in Kansas.. How does a town attempt to rebuild itself when everything has been destroyed??:sad1:

Cann, I'm wondering if it will ever be rebuilt.

Altho, , the town I live in was wiped out by a twister a long time ago. That's how the Mayo Clnic got started. Brothers Mayo came to help all the tornado victims.

.cindykansas, you have had a nerve wracking weekend and tornado season has just started.

I have been praying and praying for these people. In Mississippi we see our share of tornados but thankfully nothing like this in many years. It's amazing that more people weren't killed. So scary!

I heard on the news today that the entire population of the town was 1200 people - everyone knew everyone - and life there centered around church, school, football, and the small downtown businesses.. A real close-knit community.. I think if anyone can do it, it would be the kind of people you would find in that type of small town..

I haven't been able to get it out of my mind.. An entire town gone.. It just makes me so incredibly sad.. :(

Small towns usually band together and rebuild stronger than ever. My prayers are with them. The devastation was incredible--It reminded me of the Homestead area after Andrew, or Gulfport after Katrina. :sad2:
