Defendants will distribute the Net Settlement Fund by providing a discount at the cash registers of all KB Toys, KB Toy Works, KB Toy Outlet, Toy Liquidator and KB Toys Express stores nationwide, including Guam and Puerto Rico, equal to 30% off all qualifying purchases of $30 or more during October 8-14, 2003. This distribution (the "In-store Distribution") will be done without requiring a request of any store customer and will be separate and apart from, and in addition to, any previously planned promotional events for 2003. Defendants will not advertise or otherwise promote the distribution in advance of the In-store Distribution. Signs detailing the terms of the In-store Distribution, however, may be displayed in or around the stores during the In-store Distribution and up to 48 hours in advance of the In-store Distribution.

Ok I have alot to say about all of this. First off YES i do work for KB Toys.
1. No we did not walk around the store and mark prices up just for this 30/30 special.
2. We never discount game systems or the games becuase we pay just about full price for them from the makers. Look at most other store carrying the system and they are same price.
3. We have not priced match in at least 15 months.
4. If you see a higher price on the ticket and the lower one was crossed off..it was a price increase ordered from corporte office. They check the cost of items from the makers and sometimes have to increase our selling price. (Today I had a sheet with about 30 mark downs and only 4 items being marked up...we kept the sale items on sale even durning the 30/30 special0
5 This statement made by Mickey 527 back a few post ago really makes me wonder why someone would hassle a younger employee about something they have no control over. Put yourself in the cashiers shoes for a minute and how would you respond to that if it happened to you. We are human too and should be treated like the way you would want us to treat you.. and by making enough noise I will not just let you have the discount

edit... Peggie I saw your other post I am glad you got alot of the things you wanted and you did not say you hassled the younger people...thanks...
6 CEECEE We do not have any of the newer toys in the stores yet. So it was not because we were hiding them in back it was we have not seen them yet. We get our trucks from our warehouse and the warehouse will send us the new stuff as soon as they get it. What were you looking for? Have you seen it at Walmart or Toy-r Us? They usually get them in about the same time we do. We honestly do not know what is on the truck until it hits our back door...wanna know why? If I told you the item A would arrive on Thursday truck (which happens to be 550 boxes) and you walked in at 10 am and asked for it well..guess what I would have to tell you..It takes us about two days to get all of that truck stuff on the floor. Or better yet I tell you it is coming and then the maker held up the shipment so my warehouse has none of item A to send and you get upset because I told you it was coming.
7. We at the store level were not told why we were doing this 30/30 sale but we were instructed as how it is to be done. They picked a holiday weekend to do it so it made our days very busy and sometimes a tad crazy but you know what I love my job (KB Toys is my part time job) ( I have a full time job too) and like to help people with their toy selections and get very upset when I read about how people are going to go about getting what they want.
I am glad alot of you were able to take advantage of the extra savings. I know every little bit helps when buying X-mas presents. I am sorry if I offend any on you with anything I wrote but I could not give you a KB employee point of view.
Anyway I am going to WDW in a very short time and plan on having a great time.
