Just wondering

I was reading Walt Disney World 4 teens by teens and it says that the sharks in Shark Reef at Typhoon Lagoon are under plexiglass, and it is "sort" of like swimming with them. I have been to Typhoon Lagoon twice and I know that they were not under plexiglass. (My dad almost stepped on a sting ray!) Did they used to be? Or does the book mean something else, but its just not clicking for me? I was just wondering!
