Just Wondering Who Else Here Has a Deployed Loved One in an Undisclosed Location?

I can't even finish reading this whole thread, I'm so choked up.

Thanks to all of your loved ones for so bravely fighting to preserve our freedom and to protect us all.

And thanks to all of you for so unselfishly and unconditionally supporting and loving these remarkable and courageous people.

May they all return home safely and quickly.

I didn't even finish reading the threads when I wanted to add my brother. he is probably shipping out this weekend and can't tell us where he is going. I'm scared but I worry more for my mom and my brother's two kids. He thinks he'll be back in a few months but who knows. God bless them all.

Thanks for all of your kind word and prayers. Tonight, we have our first Family Support meeting, and I'm so looking forward to spending some time with other moms in the same situation.

I know this sounds corny, but I also know that I can share it with you guys....

When my son left, I told him to look at the moon every night, and that I'd look at the moon - and that there's only ONE moon - and that would be our link, when we are lonely and thinking of each other. He just hugged me and nodded - guess he didn't think it was so corny after all.

May God protect and guide each of these brave people and their families. I would like to DO something. Is there something that would be helpful to those sent or those left behind? It feels so helpless to just sit here.

I don't have a family member in the military, but several of my friends do. We have a newly formed Blue Stars Moms group here in town. It's a supposrt group made up of (mostly) Moms who have sons & daughters in the military. They just got done sending out Valentines packets. If you have one of these groups in your area, I would think that the camradie with those in a similar situation would be helpful.
Please continue to come here and share - we ARE family. And I thank God every day that we have the men & women doing the job of protecting us.

Yes, my brother is overseas somewhere. I tried to get an address, but he says they don't even have one! We have no idea how long he'll be there, either.

On the other hand, one of the girls in my kindergartener's class just withdrew from school and is moving up north because her mom is going to Kuwait. For up to TWO years!
