Just wondering what happened to the monorails today

We are at wdw now staying at the poly. Today we took the monorail to MK to get the bus to the beach club for dinner. So we were then going yo take the bus bad to MK then monorail back to poly only find out the monorails we’re both down. We heard someone saying they had to get the fire dept to get the people off. We did get a resort monorail bus grom
The contemporary back to poly Just wondering if anyone is there now that knows what happened. Just wondering . we could see the monorails parked by the TTC.

We figured it broke down just seemed strange it was off for hrs and had to get the fire dept bro get the people off. I just feel bad for the people that were on it.

You'd think it strange but it happens quite often. Going off for hours especially. Not as often to have to evacuate people but more than you'd think.
It's why I for the life of me, do not understand why people think the monorail service is a perk. I find it horrible and prefer to not use it if and when possible.
I have been stuck on it more than once and even missed a tour at Epcot several years ago because we got stuck for like an hour. It's one of those things, when you are stuck, you are stuck. Ain't not getting off/out on your own.

Don't get me going about it having hit and miss AC too.
