we were booked on the Hawaiian cruise but we cancelled back in feb due to my moms health--way before the virus hit
we do have insurance which included my moms health--she was not going with us though we will get a refund from both airlines but since at the time they were offering only credits we have to wait for the vouchers to expire which will be next feb and to make sure we don't use the credit which we have no plans of doing so--but now air Canada has cancelled our flight just wondering now if we can get a refund now instead of waiting the year--anyone have much expierence with cancelled trips and airlines--we only had to cancel one other trip but it was a package deal so everything got refunded at once--it was very easy--not all this waiting

thanks for any advice

Did you cancel the flight yourself or did the airline cancel it? If you didn't do anything to cancel it yourself, my guess would be that you'd get the refund now since the airline canceled it. But if you already cancelled yourself, you'd have to call the airline to see if you'd be eligible under their current policies. Things have been changing rapidly and it varies by airline.
