Just wondering about codes

I just got off the phone with Isney and the CM told me that the codes for September are not really out yet and they usually start about April. How is everybody getting codes for the month of September? Are you AP holdes or DVC members and they come out before everybodies? Just confused please clarify for me

I was told the same thing. Then I mentioned the 40% off code that people are getting now that goes through December (with blackout dates)...the CM got real quiet and then just said something about how they mail out the codes randomly and that she is looking at my name and there is nothing associated with my or DHs names. She kind of avoided my comment.

I guess I was just lucky. I called in asking about a "pinless flyer" mentioned in another code thread, and got 40% off. The call took a long time and I got put on hold a LOT, but I ended up with it. I think sometimes, it really does depend on the CM you get. I'm not an AP holder (yet) or a DVC member (I wish!).

That same angle worked for me, but the more I thought about it, I think I either a. did indeed have a code associated with my household or b. got lucky and the CM "gave" me the 40% off since I am an AP holder. At any rate I will take the discount for our Christmas trip... holiday season is so expensive, and we saved $1600 off rack rates.

I do believe it is the CM who makes the difference. I just spoke with one who was a bit snippy and she told me if something gets mailed to an address different than mine with my name on it, it is only good for the household that received it...not me. That totally discounts everything others have mentioned on these threads. I guess in Disney there is no right or wrong way .
