Just when you thought you've seen all the MAGIC! **See Page 95 for PTR!!!!**

Someone pinch me, quick. An update from Tim and one that I am awake for.

Now, your first mistake was to say "an unflattering picture of me" and hope no one posts it like another picture. If you hadn't said anything, I would never have thought of it.

Love the photopass pictures -- the girls, the family and "all" the friends -- really great shots.

We have never seen the Flag Ceremony and I really want to try to catch it on our next trip.

Poor Juliana losing her glass slipper. Perhaps a lesson was learned?

Oh No not the sparkly shoe.:scared1::scared1:

Glad you had backup shoes. :)

Hope your dinner was wonderful. :wizard:

Oh I love the Halloween pic. So cute and you got them both smiling.

Great update !! Ummm didn't Prince Charming find the slipper and search the Kingdom to return it to Princess Ana !!:confused3
He did search the MK, but he didn't search under the monorail tracks! :lmao:

I have to get new tire for the winter :scared1:Just got brakes and then I will be all set for the dreaded WNY winters. Yes Tim you are right we are soooo used to driving in the White stuff , unfortunately!!
You know snow will be falling before you know it!

Loved the Halloween pix of the kids, they are cuties !!:cloud9::hug:
Thank you!!!!!! :goodvibes

Someone pinch me, quick. An update from Tim and one that I am awake for.
I'm trying to get to the 'moment'. It should be 2 updates from now, which will probably be around Thanksgiving! :lmao::lmao:

Now, your first mistake was to say "an unflattering picture of me" and hope no one posts it like another picture. If you hadn't said anything, I would never have thought of it.
So you are saying I can expect to see this picture again? :confused3 :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Love the photopass pictures -- the girls, the family and "all" the friends -- really great shots.
Thank you!

We have never seen the Flag Ceremony and I really want to try to catch it on our next trip.
In the hustle and bustle of a day in the parks, it was nice to stop and see a veteran taking part of this ceremony.

Poor Juliana losing her glass slipper. Perhaps a lesson was learned?
We weren't mad at her... she was a little upset, but got over it quickly. I'm not sure if any lesson was learned except don't stick your feet out of a monorail? :confused3:confused3 :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Hey Lisa!!!

Hope everything is going well with you and Megan!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes

Hey right back at ya.....we are doing good, think we might be getting a head cold.....saw you just posted on Judy's thread, such good news the cath went well, such a relief!!!

ok, back to your update! such great photos in front of the castle! and happy you kept your hands inside SM this time, guess someone learned his lesson :rolleyes1

to bad that your princess lost her shoe, dang that prince for not finding it for her :rotfl:

I'll hold you to that. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Probably. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

This will be on my to do list in memory of my dad!

. I'm not sure if any lesson was learned except don't stick your feet out of a monorail? :confused3:confused3 :lmao::lmao::lmao:

And this is the lesson that I hope was learned. :goodvibes

Great update! Sorry to hear about the slipper. Those monorail doors can be a bit beastly.

In re-reading my earlier post, it sounded a bit snarkish. Which is why I should really stop trying to hurriedly post on my breaks. Anywho, by Thus Far, I meant I enjoyed what I've read and look forward to more, NOT that I question whether future installments will be up to par. Which I know wholehearted they will. (Point in case, your most recent update.)

Looking forward to seeing how the dinner goes.

Aww, how sad about the sparkly shoe! my daughter has a pair of pink sparkly shoes and she would have been devastated if that had happened. Tears and crying for sure.

Cute pics of the group, though. And Melody's baby bump is just so cute! She looked great!

you guys are always losing shoes at WDW.... You need to just have the croc number on speed dial for delivery.:goodvibes

I have been trying to read her thread daily- even if I don't post- to get updates. It seems like every thing is going to plan.:thumbsup2

Yes, I learned my lesson on that ride. I really like exiting the ride with both hands in tact. ::yes::

to bad that your princess lost her shoe, dang that prince for not finding it for her
the prince knew exactly where it was, but there was no way to reach it.

looks like you a Bill have a little "bro-mance" happening
LOL.... I guess you could say that. :rolleyes1

oh no, drama at the dinner.....breaking out the popcorn::
I swear... we always have a few moments of drama every trip. :headache:

And this is the lesson that I hope was learned. :goodvibes
I have to remember that advice for myself too. :lmao:

LOL... I'm glad it was just a lost shoe and nothing more! :scared1:

No worries... I understand what you meant. :goodvibes

I'm uploading the pictures now.... I can't say exactly when the update will happen though. :lmao::lmao:

Juliana took it fairly well. I thought she would of taken it a lot worse. :rotfl2:

Cute pics of the group, though. And Melody's baby bump is just so cute! She looked great!
Oh thank you! It has been so long I totally forgot she was pregnant on this trip!:rotfl::rotfl:

Tell me about it! Why do you think we always travel to the park with more than one pair of shoes for Juliana? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Dang...thought maybe I was coming upon an update when I saw you posted. :headache:

Hope you are having a good weekend. We went Christmas shopping today (we took the day off) and I finished my shopping for your adorable angels. :)

I haven't visited your trip report in MONTHS and thought for sure a certain foreshadowed castle picture would be revealed by now. Alas, no sweet castle picture, only a disturbing whip photo with a sorbid tale of said whip being sent by some other gal across the country and photographed by your wife...I think I need to track down a good lawyer. Maybe that one who represented the lady who was fondled by Donald Duck with no pants on!! I think my emotional scaring is just as bad.:rotfl2:

On second thought, maybe I'll just thank you for the chuckle. Keep it coming, I'm patient.

Yay and update! oh nos poor Juliana losing her shoe! I love the two cinderella's in the pp pics btw.

Sorry to get your hopes up... :flower3:

I DJed my last wedding of the year this weekend. I have parties & school dances for the rest of the year. We had a great lunch with our friends yesterday. You are too kind to the kids Kat! I'll take an iPad if your buying! :rotfl:

I am so sorry you got your hopes up!!!! :flower3::flower3:

That whip picture has taken a life of its own since I first posted it a year and a half ago. For some reason it keeps showing up... :confused3 My wife was wondering who would send me a whip in the mail. I told her not to worry, it was from a DIS friend and the whip was used in a foreign country to whip horses while playing polo with a severed goats head. She shook her head at me then started snapping pictures of me whipping myself. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Lucky for us, we had her crocs with us! :goodvibes

Thank you for the kind comments!! :goodvibes:goodvibes

thank goodness you had her crocs with you! Very sad on the sparkly shoes though
I know... my TRs have been having reoccurring themes..
  • Lost shoes
  • Ticket problems
  • ADR drama
  • $100 cakes that taste like paint thinner
:rotfl2::rotfl2: :rotfl2::rotfl2:

The sparkly shoes were gone and the princess was wearing the crocs when we arrived at the Grand Floridian for dinner. We had an ADR at 1900 Park Fare to dine with Cinderella, Prince Charming, the stepmother, and the stepsisters. When we originally made this ADR it was for 9 people- Melody, Juliana & I and Dave, Branda, Victoria, Alex and Dave's parents. Our other friends, Bill & Jamie, were supposed to be driving back to Connecticut that morning. After thinking it over, they decided to stay 1 more day so their girls could hang out with Juliana on her birthday. Once they changed their mind, we kept searching for an ADR for them close to ours and were able to snag one only 10 minutes away from our time.

We arrived at 1900PF, 20 minutes before our ADR to try to get us seated together or at least next to each other. The girl at the desk was trying to figure out how to put 13 people together. After a back and forth with the manager, the girl said we have it all set. Great! I thought..

When we were seated, they broke us up into a table of 6 and a table of 7 that were next to each other. What that did was create a seating logistic nightmare. We asked to speak with the manager and come to find out you can't have more than 10 seated together, but the girl at the desk didn't tell us that. We would of just kept our ADRs as is.

After some shuffling, we got it all figured out and just stuck with what they gave us. It wasn't long before some sisters brought more drama over to the table...

The stepsisters were so funny. They were screaming across the room at each other causing a scene. Their mother had to reprimand them a few times.

We even got a visit from a prince and a princess even before we were able to get our food!

Of course our princess needed Cinderella's signature...

Even Alex had to get close to Cinderella.

DSC01851.jpg

Lady Tremaine was great- never breaking character once. She had a few snarky comments to both Juliana and Victoria about wearing those dresses. LOL

DSC01855.jpg

We were finally able to get up and get something to eat. I won't show you pictures of messy buffet plates with food all over them though. I will say the food was good and I think I had 2 or 3 helpings of paella. I also loved the tomato and mozzarella salad.

Everyone was finishing up with dinner when it was time to get up and do some dancing!!! Juliana even got to dance with Anastasia.

DSC01856.jpg

Dinner was going great and all the drama from earlier was forgotten- until we had more drama. See, I ordered a cake for Juliana's birthday. This was the second cake I've ordered from 1900PF. Our waitress brought it out towards the end of dinner. Melody asked her for a candle and the waitress told her they cannot light a candle on the cake. I didn't know if the policy had changed since we were at 1900PF last time. A gave a quick scan thoughout the room, and there were at least 2 other tables with cakes and lit candles on them. I asked our waitress again about a candle and she said she couldn't do it. UGH.

What was a dad to do? No, not roll up a napkin and make a torch to stick on the cake, but to ask another waitress who was more than happy to find us a candle! Now, don't get me wrong, our waitress was nice about the candle issue and was great throughout dinner, but I think she got annoyed that we got a candle from someone for the cake.

Here is when Juliana saw the cake.

Like I said earlier, this was the second cake I've ordered at 1900PF- different from the first and it tasted the same. The cake wasn't all that moist, the fondant wasn't tasty, and the filling was ok. Overall it tasted like I was eating crisco right from the container. Everyone said it was good but I think they were just being nice. I think I'm done ordering cakes- at least from the Grand Floridian. The presentation was gorgeous but the taste left you wishing for more. Thank goodness for the TIW card which took 20% off the $100 price and if my math is correct, I ended up spending $80 on the cake.

Once last thing about 1900PF- for dessert they now bring you a plate that is full of ice cream, cake, and toppings.

DSC01870.jpg

I probably could of stuck a candle in that, had a better dessert, and saved $80 too! But what cha gonna do. You live and you learn. Considering we didn't give Juliana a birthday card, I HAD to get her a cake!

We finished up our meal, used the bathrooms, and headed back to the Magic Kingdom! We had to see Wishes! It is our favorite show in Disney!!!!!!

Up next- The moment you all have been waiting for? Maybe?????

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: another update!

Now why didn't the gal at the podium tell you they couldn't seat more than 10 at a table. I just don't understand the lack of communication.

The girls all looked so cute with the evil stepsisters and Prince Charming and Cinderella. And, of course, Ana looks absolutely beautiful...sorry Cindy, but Ana is the true star. :goodvibes

$80 for a cake with a discount. I think you should save that money and buy extra shoes for Ana next time.

I'm going to have a :headache::headache: if the next update is NOT the one we've all been waiting for.

We asked to speak with the manager and come to find out you can't have more than 10 seated together, but the girl at the desk didn't tell us that. We would of just kept our ADRs as is.
:headache: Gotta love a lack of communication.

I really think that would be a fun meal to go to. Maybe we'll get there one of these days.

Of course our princess needed Cinderella's signature...
Naturally.:thumbsup2

What was a dad to do? No, not roll up a napkin and make a torch to stick on the cake,
That would have been awesome. At least until the fire alarm went off and the sprinklers gave everybody a shower.:lmao::rotfl2:

but to ask another waitress who was more than happy to find us a candle!
Good call! :thumbsup2

Now, don't get me wrong, our waitress was nice about the candle issue and was great throughout dinner, but I think she got annoyed that we got a candle from someone for the cake.
:confused3 Well, if you need something and she can't/won't provide it, while you see others getting it...

Overall it tasted like I was eating crisco right from the container.
  :rotfl2:

Thank goodness for the TIW card which took 20% off the $100 price and if my math is correct, I ended up spending $80 on the cake.
 :faint:

I probably could of stuck a candle in that, had a better dessert, and saved $80 too! But what cha gonna do. You live and you learn.
Yes, now you, and all your TR readers, know his important detail for future reference!:thumbsup2

Considering we didn't give Juliana a birthday card, I HAD to get her a cake!
:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Up next- The moment you all have been waiting for? Maybe?????
What? You're finally going to get down to business and finish writing this thing? :lmao:

good that they were able to get you in together....what difference does is make how many people are at one table :confused3 just squish them together people!

the kids look like they had a blast with the characters! I agree, the steps are such fun to interact with!

wow that's quite the cake! sorry is didn't taste good....fondant is not very good most of the time...when we went in April I ordered a cake from the Contemporary with butter cream frosting, was so yummy and moist! and it was $75....didn't have all the extra decorations, just one of those photo imprints on it.

I am hoping for "the update" next too, you have kept us waiting much to long :lmao:popcorn::
