Our next trip is in Aug next year and I was just starting to relax after making all the bookings, well apart from the car. However I've just had an e-mail from Opodo to let us know that our flight has been cancelled, so i logged in to the BA website and sure enough our return flight has been cancelled. there are various options as to what we can do now, one being that we can cancel the entire booking and get a refund. think that's probably what i'm going to do. So back to the drawing board!! :scratchin

are none of the alternative return flight options any good to you? Surely it would be easier to try that first before booking? I don't know as I have no idea of your options or circumstances but it would be less work and for next August, you may find yourself stressing about getting decent flight prices if you have to start over, unless you think you could beat the ones you originally had

I did try to phone Opodo to discuss what my options would be but apparently there's no one available to talk to after 6 during the week! When I read the info on the manage my booking on BAs website it does say that one of the options is to rebook the cancelled flight subject to availability! :confused3

This happened to me with BA-but they did it 2 weeks before our flight!!

They moved us to the next day at no extra cost, and we extended our pop stay by a night and after we returned paid the extra hotel cost, food (we kept receipts), replacement train back home and gave us BA vouchers to spend in future.

Couldn't say better than that and we got an extra days holiday!:thumbsup2

That's a winning situation! :thumbsup2

We've not even been offered an alternative! Looks like we're going to cancel the booking that we have with them and look elsewhere!

Well I've cancelled that flight. Opodo were no help whatsoever so it's back to the drawing board!

Maybe the difference was I was booked with BA direct rather than with an agent?
