Another storm's brewing off Florida's coast!
Some people I know are ready to fly outta here for good, I was optimistic and now I wake up to this... yikes! A reporter on our local news likened it to Ground Hogs Day, just when one is about to make land fall, another one pops up, over and over and over again. This makes 4 named storms all aimed at FL in close to a months time. So far the path puts it just off our coast Sunday, hopefully it keeps heading North and doesn't take a more westerly turn. We still don't even have power back on... yes it's been almost two whole weeks. And since we have well, we don't have water either, or phone since it's DSL. I'm not a happy camper right now.

However, i'm gonna do like my dad told me (he's over in louisiana about to get hit by the other one) and go outside & tie myself to a tree if this one heads for florida again.

JoNo~ You are supposed to tie garden hoses to trees, not your body; that's what Dave Barry says anyway.

Many around here still have their shutters, plywood, etc. on their windows. I don't care if I have to go outside and put up the shutters every other week, I couldn't take the darkness anymore; it was totally depressing. I hope that Jeanne goes away.

The news reports were saying this is going to be one of the worst seasons for them in a very long time. It was said they could be going strong untill well into the middle of OCT or longer.

I saw this 1 this morning when i got up with Dh cause i couldn't sleep and happened to see the weather while waiting for my pad to heat. I said Can't we even go a week without having another hurricane pop up? He laughed and said nope. So i guess we'll have to pay attention to this 1 now. I'm glad not to live in FL but we are close enough that should a major hurricane hit the Outerbanks at Cats. 4 or 5 we'd have to evacuate too. Its not even Oct. and this hurricane thing is already getting old.
