Just when I thought I'd seen everything, DELTA really takes the cake!

I've filed a dispute w/ my credit card company. Delta will have to prove to them what the change was and that they had my permission to charge my card. I highly doubt they will be able to do so as I believe the change was only made to increase the ticket price.

Sometimes it's not that easy. I tried to dispute a charge with USAir, the price I saw on the screen when I bought it was not what I was charged. I even had screen prints. The credit card came back and said it was between me and USAir.

:) Travelocity fixed my problem. I'm getting my $261 back on my card. Great customer service!

I'm still going to write Delta a letter, with complete documentation. I just have to figure out who is the best person to contact.

You say Delta charged you but Travelocity fixed it. No that makes no sense. If Delta charged you how could Travelocity fix it? Maybe you should write a letter of apology to Delta for the bad publicity you cause them.

:confused3

Op, I am glad that you were able to get this issue resolved.

Mistakes do happen, and it sounds like this one was resolved moderately quickly. You could still write a letter, but I'm not sure that I would bother.

Why doesn't it make sense? Travelocity was my travel agent. They intervened to fix the problem after Delta refused to help me.

What bad publicity?

Did Delta charge her credit card $261? Yes.
Did Delta explain to her what the charge was for? No.
Did the charge get rescinded (meaning it wasn't valid)? Yes.

So why shouldn't the OP complain?:confused3
