Was trying to be cost effective & get a 1 bedroom at OKW during the adventure season. Just got my WDW planner & now DH decides he wants a 2 bedroom. He figures we may as well do it right!! So now that I am free to fulfill my wildest dreams I don't know where to start!!
We will most likely be spending most of our time at MK (4 yr old princess loving DD's 1st trip) with one day at MGM (Beauty & the Beast Show, Ariel Show & maybe Playhouse Disney) and one day at Epcot (Princess Storybook breakfast & WS Kidcot stations). I do not forsee us going to AK this trip or DTD. So do we stay at VWL to be closest to MK or stay at the centrally located BCV or BWV? We also have another DD who will be 1 yr old when we visit so we may be taking breaks to go back to our room which is why I would like to be close to the parks where we will be spending a majority of our time.
Also weather.com shows average temps of 70's for Jan & Dec & 80's for Sept. We don't want to be too hot but would like to use the pools for a nice break in the afternoons.
So, I need help of the seasoned DVCers to help me decide when to go & where to stay. Jeez, after all this planning I hope I am so lucky as to rent DVC points for my stay or I may just have to buy a resale asap! Wanted to visit in person before buying.
Thanks for your expertise!

With wee ones that little, you might look at WLV, which is a short boat ride away from MK.

If they were a little older, the BCV (pool is great but too vast for your kids) or BWV (Boardwalk is terrific) with their easy access to MGM and Epcot might be better choices. But don't write off OKW (or, starting next summer, SSR). It's a bus ride away from the MK, but it's tranquil enough to calm down your entire family after some commando park visits, and the rooms are a bit more spacious.

We went in September with our grandchildren 1 and 31/2, we had a wonderful time. We stayed at BWV ,while at Epcot and MGM it was an easy walk back to the resort for naps and lunch. The pool was great .The boat ride from VWL is a little better than the bus ride ,but you can't beat BWV for Epcot and MGM. You can also see the Illuminations from your balcony in most standard view rooms. We love September, we just got back from our trip in January and the weather is not predictable. We only went swimming twice in the week. You can't go wrong with any DVC but we are partial to BWV because of it's location.

The averages don't necessarily reflect the actual temps on given days. September will be hot to warm. Early September is pretty much as hot and humid as August and doesn't tend to cool off much at night. Later into September it may be a little more pleasant. (You also run the outside risk of hurricanes in September).

December-January is a mixed bag and pretty hard to tell what it will be. Early December tends not to hit the real low's and is probably more moderate. From mid-December through January it could be anything from 80 to 25 and it could be the entire range during a week long trip. Early December will be a little tricky to book at a non-home resort because it is a very popular time for DVC'ers to visit and see the Christmas decorations and shows.
