Ok, we head to the world on Teusday and I am going to take my car to walmart and get the oil changed. What else can they do there rather quickly of course that would be good for my car for the trip. It has 90,000 miles on it and I need a little advice. Thanks
If your car has that many miles on it have you ever done a full overhaul of the replaceable engine parts - belts, hoses, plugs, wires, etc? If not, you should. Most owner's manuals will recommend all of that around 75K-100K.
DS had a older car with a finicky oil plug. It was not standard and needed extra care to actually be installed properly. He had the oil changed an Wal-Mart and they mentioned the weird plug.
Soon after the work his sister borrowed the car for an extended trip and yes you guessed it the oil plug fell out, the oil leaked out and the engine was ruined. Wal-Mart took NO responsibility for the faulty oil change.

Also make sure Wal-Mart actually refills your car with new oil after emptying out the old. That happens every now & then ((but not frequently)). But our local Wal-Mart has been known to (during busy rushes, especially), drain your old oil, and forget to put in new. Next thing you know, you hop in your car..notice oil light, and your engine seems to dislike you.
It doesn't seem like it'd be more expensive to go somewhere like Jiffy Lube to get an oil change done, and I'd trust them more than Walmart. Granted.. in my old car I did my own oil changes, and in our new car it goes to the dealership so it doesn't void the waranty. Have you considered learning how to do them yourself? It's really not that hard to learn.
One time I got my oil changed at Walmart and they left the piece of equipment that takes the air filter off in my car! I got home and DH thought that the hood looked sort of "lumpy" so there it was !
I wouldn't use Walmart, personally. My parents had their oil changed there a couple of months ago, and the workers left a couple of towels and a wrench under the hood. They also didn't replace the oil plug properly.
Fortunately, they went somewhere else to buy a new battery a few days later and found the towels, wrench, and oil plug problem. They were getting ready to leave on a trip, and those things could have caused a lot of problems. They said they will never go back to Walmart!
