Just wasn't the same, not even close!

The local Fireworks show that is. Not anywhere near as cool as DL fireworks. They were pretty, but it's not fireworks now unless it's DL! Makes me jealous of my friend who was there tonight watching them *sigh*

LOL!!! My family said the same thing today. We have a local high school that puts on an "Elaborate" fireworks show every year that people wait for hours and hours. However it does not compare a 1/10 to the Disneyland fireworks.

The community I live in puts on a show that is great visually. They have two high bridges and a river to work with so it ends up great. But they always play a bunch of pop songs and the local DJ's from the local station that sponsors it Yap and Yap some more throughout and ruin the whole thing. They would be so much better with a medley of Sousa marches choreographed instead of what they have. And if the DJ's would shut their traps, all the better.

The local show probably rivals or even beats Disney's as far as the visual. It lasts longer than Disney's by a good 15 minutes and the River means they can do a lot of set pieces on barges. Truly spectacular in the way of fireworks themselves. . But I come away from Disney's far more impressed nonetheless. The former is a bunch of fireworks with overly loud pop or rock or country blaring from temporary speakers with blithering idiots yapping and commentating in between. The latter is a show.

Ha!! Same here. And people complain about having to be there an hour before at Disney. Heck. This year in our city, if you weren't there 6-8 hours early, forget it. You were only going to be seeing the sky rockets and not the ones down on the river. We didn't bother when we heard the same two blithering idiot DJ's were going to be there.

My husband and I were saying the same thing. Disney has awesome fireworks. We all get spoiled by them. And nothing lives up to the Disney fireworks.

OH HOW FUNNY! I said the exact same thing. Ehh, it's ok... but when you are used to Disneyland, boring. When you are used to Remember Dreams come true, and you have to sit in the Safeway parking lot to see fireworks through the trees it just looses something.

I heard the same thing. What the heck are HD Fireworks? I figured if they were out there Disney would have them. So I wonder if Disney's fireworks are HD?

A church just down the street/around the corner from us puts on the most elaborate show in the state of Oklahoma. They play patriotic music and last nights show lasted 35 min. In fact my DS22 said to me that it really reminded him of being in DL! And it got even better when one of the songs during the show was the "Pirates of the Carribean" theme song!! It was spectacular, and with alot less crowds than at DL. We walked down 15 min. before the show, found a nice curb with a perfect view, and enjoyed. The only thing that I was dissapointed in, was that I forgot all my dollar store glow necklaces to give out to little kids . I like to do that, especially since now my kids are older and like to do it with me!! Oh well, I guess I will save them for our next disney trip!

I'm so glad I'm not alone. I mean, the local fireworks were fine, but I kept thinking, "At least I'll get to see the fireworks at DL soon".
