Hey guys! :wave2: I was going to put this up on my pre-trip report and figured this would be a great place as well. I hope you all enjoy!

-outer cover.

-inner-left pocket.

DSC00056.jpg

starter page, 'Lovey Dovey in Disney/Dec. 2010' -- hobby lobby has the greatest disney 3D pop-up stick ons!

DSC00057.jpg

-opposite starter page. just a little something i free-handed. i'm a big alice in wonderland fan. kinda hard to see the words in the drippings, 'we're all made here'..

DSC00059.jpg

-calendar i printed straight from disney.go.com, did a bit of doodling with pink/green pastel glitter pens.

DSC00060.jpg

- opposite calendar, free-handed christmas theme. my fiance and I are definitely looking forward to seeing disney during the holidays together!

DSC00062.jpg

-made a pocket folder to hold all of our flight information.

DSC00063.jpg

-opposite folder, had to incorporate some more cutesyness. afterall, the theming is lovey dovey in disney!

DSC00064.jpg

-outside "envelope" holding all of our car rental info.

DSC00065.jpg

-inside envelope.

DSC00066.jpg

accommodation pics/captions.

DSC00070.jpg

-accommodation info-holder

DSC00071.jpg

-more glitter pen stuff, 'caught up in you!'

DSC00072.jpg

-ticket holder.

DSC00073.jpg

-pocket for important addresses.

DSC00075.jpg

-park map envelope, outside.

DSC00076.jpg

-inside!

DSC00078.jpg

-opposite envelope, random stuff.

DSC00080.jpg

-park hour fold-out w/ pastel aquamarine ribbon.

DSC00082.jpg

-inside. only issue with this page is the ribbon is fragile. after a few times tying/untying is gets a little frazzled.

DSC00083.jpg

-large pocket for dining menus.

DSC00084.jpg

- dining ressies. used favorite disney movie theme!

DSC00085.jpg

-my favorite part. we'll be doing a lot of driving around. we LOVE music, so I decided to make us a few mixed CDs to bring along.

You did a fantastic job! :thumbsup2

Is this a common thing that people do for their Disney World trips, or did you come up with it on your own? It's such a neat idea. It would be pretty pointless for me to do that with Disneyland since I go so often (and sometimes only spend a few hours there anyway), but that would have been super useful for when I went to Tokyo Disney.

Thanks Lisa! I needed something to hold me over and keep me busy until the trip arrives. I still have a few months but little projects like these make the wait:goodvibes that much more exciting. :woohoo:

Wow!!! That's amazing. I feel like an underachiever, even tho I pretty obsessively plan each trip -- I don't even do that well with scrapbooks when I get back. I like the preplanning and after organizing -- kind of helps prolong the trip. But to answer the earlier question, I don't think very many people do this. It's beautiful (and much better than my boxes and bags of stuff in my office closet).

I've seen several others from the boards make planners for their trips. There's a lot of really creative people here! I'd rather make my own than go out and buy one, that way you can add as much personal detail (like the mixed cd holders) as you wish. -- I actually got the idea for the cd holder page from a wedding planner my future SIL gave to me. It had 2 spindle dealies to hold the music you wanted played at your wedding:

Oh my goodness, I'm such the nutsy wacko when it comes to this planning stuff! :rotfl: Oh well though... I have no shame!

very cool! I love the CD part. DH and I are big road trip people so we have a slew of songs for driving.

Wasn't it the movie Elizabethtown that had a character make CDs and a binder like this for a road trip?

I love the idea of making mixed CDs for your trip - your whole planner is very clever...

The cd pockets are great! I wouldn't have thought to do that - especially decorated.

Love it!!!:goodvibes

I had to ask my fiance about this (he's a total movie buff), I've never seen it before but now I'm kinda curious!

Thanks! I just wish I could think of something else to add to the planner. Any suggestions?

Beautiful book! I am a super-planner... over the top planner, but I have NEVER made a book like that. Mostly I just use a 3 ring binder and some folders!

You have got WAAAY too much time on your hands!:rotfl:....P

Thanks! And ..nope, not too much time on my hands (I wish though!), just a lot of creativity behind them.

Jeesh, I'd be so bored with a few plain old folders and ordinary binder. :crazy2:
I need plenty of color and imagination. Especially when the topic of interest is Disney World!
