Just wanted to say hi!!

I'm sure you'll all be too excited to sleep properly anyway! never mind the flights a really really small sacrifice to spend time building precious memories with your loved ones, just think, when you enter the magic kingdom, walk under the railroad and enter the world of dreams and laughter you'll be skipping hand in hand together in the only place that matters :cloud9:

This is our holiday of a lifetime. As I said we have been to DLP 3 times, we have waited until our youngest DD8 was old enough to enjoy everything, she is not scared of anything and got really annoyed when her DB's and DS's were able to go on all the fast rides and she wasn't. I always said this was a one off holiday but we are already thinking about another trip and we haven't got their yet :rotfl:

Ha Ha, its got you already, admit it, come on, repeat after me 'My names Michelle and I'm a disneyholic'
seriousl, as a travel agent I hear countless peolpe say they're looking into Disney as their 'once in a lifetime' trip, these are now some of my most regular clients!

Hello My name is Michelle and I am a Disneyholic...... :cool1:

I remeber the 1st time we took the children to DLP they were DS 6, DS5, DD5 & DD3 and their faces were magic :cloud9:

But the children are getting older now oldest is 15, maybe, just maybe we can squash another holiday in for all of us ;)

It is expensive for all 6 of us, but it's going to be worth every penny. As long as I try not to worry about all my animals who will miss me terribly :guilty:

Hi Michelle, try not to worry to much about the flight you'll be surprised how soon it passes, and as soon as you land it's all forgotten about. Recently a friend of mine had to fly to the US and was a smoker so was really concerned and even he said how quickly it went.

I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time in January

I have been fortunate enough to have been a few times. Two trips have been early in the year. You really are in for a treat!

Last year we stayed at almost the exact time you are staying. You are going at a great time IMHO. The crowds were really low which means a LOT less time queuing up. We were in no line for more than 20 minutes, apart from Its A Small World (ugh!) A lot of attractions we could just walk on. Most were 5-10 minutes.

The weather was lovely. The mornings and evenings were sometimes cool, but never cold! I wore shorts and t-shirt every day. Some days were quite hot, most were very pleasant and warm. I don't like it too hot myself, so loved the weather. One half day had rain during our time there.

I would also think Universal Studios and Islands are Adventure are a must considering your boys' ages. Well worth a visit.

Thank you so much Soprano :Pinkbounc
We are hoping thats exactly how it's going to be. I wouldn't enjoy it if the heat was overwhelming and long queues are a no no.
We thought long and hard to what we would or wouldn't be visiting and opted for the 14 day ultimate pass for our stay. It just won't be possible to do everything in 14 days so I guess another visit will have to be booked to see the rest Orlando has to offer

We always stay in a private villa and really enjoy the extra room and privacy it provides.
There is nothing wrong in relaxing by the pool occassionally and you can relax between your time at the theme parks.

Having cooking facilities is also a big plus.

As for being 'disneyolics' I think we are more 'Floridaolics' probably, as we have never been abroad anywhere else.

I realise that there is "extra magic" from staying on site but with there being 6 of us we did want the extra room. I also liked the idea of having a splash pool to keep the children amused while we rest.

Another bonus was laundry facilities, we'd need another jumbo 747 if I were to take clothes for 14 days for all 6 of us!!

Definitely! Staying in a villa suits us, our boy loves water and can play in the pool anytime he wants.
We also bring a collection of videos/dvd's for him , again for when we are relaxing.

The only downside is you have to drive everywhere and for us the evenings can be a bit frustrating because often Joshua does not want to go out - but as long as he is happy playing that's the main thing.
Which development are you staying on?

We won't know where we are staying until we get there "Allocated on arrival" apparently it is within 20 minutes (driving) of WDW in Kissimmee. 3 bedroom, 2 Bathroom with private pool.
When we go to DLP we stay at Davey Crockett Ranch, the cabin sleeps 6 but I think it's quite small, these villas look quite spacious in comparison.

oh right I see - they are very spacious yes.
Sure you will be fine and all the villas in Kissimmee give good access to the attractions.
