Hi Everyone,

I have been a lurker for a long time and I have gained so much info to help me plan our first ever trip to WDW :teeth: . I have been to DLP 3 times with DH 34, ME 34, DS15, DS14, DD11 & DD8.
We are staying in a private villa from Jan 28th until February 12th 2006.
I'd love to hear from anyone who's been around this time, we are hoping the weather will be pleasant without being hot.

Anyway HI EVERONE!!

Michelle

 Hi Michelle,

Sorry, i have not been to Florida in Jan/Feb so can't comment on the weather :sunny: Just wanted to say a BIG WELCOME to the boards :grouphug: We're a friendly bunch so i'm sure someone will be along to help with your question soon :)

Hi Michelle :wave2: These boards are friendly and perfect for all your planning questions.
Join us over in the Disneyland Paris boards as well :goodvibes

Thank you everyone for your replies!!!!
I was worried my post would go unanswered...I've been a lurker for so long, I check the boards everyday, several times a day!!
Can I just say without sounding silly at 34 years of age......
That I'm soooo excited about our trip. I wish time would go faster

only several times????

i go in 2.5 weeks time and I can't sleep now for excitment!!! :cheer2:

I'm going next Jan / Feb as well for the first time at that time of year. It's not my first trip, more like my 30th but still lots of new stuff to learn! I'm told the weather could be warm enough for shorts some of the time but may need trousers and should definitely be prepared to 'layer' as temperature could vary wildly during day / stay.

30th trip :sunny:
It seems like a military operation getting everything organised so we can go. 4 kids or is that 5 including DH :rotfl2:
I'm hoping that although the weather is considered cooler that time of the year to all of us UKers it will be warm :)
I want to start packing now but I suppose I should at least get xmas out of the way....Christams isn't so exciting for me this year :guilty:

:wave2: Hi Michelle, welcome to the Disboards, sorry I can't help with Jan/Feb time to visit, but I just wanted to say hello. If you have any other questions just ask, I'm sure someone will be able to help you :)

Hi Michelle  from another Cornish pasty
you'll have a great trip no doubt, and feel free to ask away, theres guaranteed to be someone here to answer even the most bizarre questions

Hi Michelle

Just wanted to say welcome to the DIS :)

What a friendly bunch you all are!!!!
Thanks
Another Cornish pasty... :cheer2:
These boards have made a real difference to planning my trip, and help me keep going as the waiting is terrible... :Pinkbounc

The thing most worrying me is the flight, I've never done a long haul flight, only to Europe and that was terrible, although not totally claustrophobic (sp?)
I'm bordering on it. The thought of being in an aeroplane for over 9 hours is worrying me. I keep telling myself that the plane will be much more roomier and the seats not so squashed in a Jumbo...tell me I'm right please :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Who are you flying with Michelle??

Generally you don't feel so squished on a 747 and there is usually plenty of entertainment to keep you occupied :)

I will say that the flight out will be a 1000 times more enjoyable than the flight back though :teeth:

You're right! definately better, who are you flying with? are you travelling up the night before? would probably be better seeing as you've got a heck of a journey you'll want to start the holiday off as stress free as possible!

No not travelling up the night before, Had this thought that if we were so tired from travelling we might sleep on the flight!! :confused3
Travelling with TCD don't slae me everyone, I've read some of the comments on these boards avout TCD and I hope they have improved. We are flying on TCD's 747 not Air Atlanta.

I'm sure it'll all be fine, TCD do come in for some major bashing nut there are also a LOT of posts from people saying 'flew Air Atlanta, all went ok' theres just no emphasis on these as you don't remember a good journey as much as a bad one!

I hope you manage to get some sleep on the flight if that's what you want to try and do :) I find it impossible personally but DW always manages it

We have never travelled with TCD so I really can't comment on what the flights are like. I know there has been a lot posted in the past good and bad about TCD but as everyones experience and expectations tend to be different I would try and stay open minded and just see how it goes. :)

Thanks Alan and Carol. It will be worth it, I'm not going to get to Disney any other way

I have no choice Alan :rolleyes1
I always sleep in the car when travelling so hopefully this will be the same.
The children have all got Nintendo DS's and Sp's for xmas to keep them occupied. I will have a stack of books DH says he is goimg to sleep :rotfl:
Even I think he will find it hard to slep all that time.
