I'm feeling miffed. I booked our WDW holiday for this August last April (2001) and one minor thing after another is going wrong.

1. We booked late flights home, now the flight time has changed to 3 hours earlier. same flight no. just different time.

2. Last time we didn't get to River Country - this time it's closed

3. EE has gone. Last visit I woke at 4am most mornings and just let the family sleep. This year I had resolved to get them up and out early.

4. MK is closing at 6pm for the last part of our stay.

5. Thought we might get to see a space shuttle launch (from a distance) but they're grounded.

6. Wanted to have breakfast at crystal palace, but it will be closed for rehab.

7. No DD checkin - a major reason for going with Virgin in the first place.

8. Disneyana convention going on during our last weekend - don't know whether this is a good thing or a bad thing.

I've torn up my plans and think I'm just going to make a list of must do's (it's getting shorter but is still quite long!) I'm sure we'll still have a good time but I am a bit cross.

We also wanted to spend more time at Discovery Island but that closed shortly after our last visit so we were prepared for that disappointment.

Thankyou for reading, I just wanted to moan!!!

Never mind Libby, Like you said you still have plently of things on your list to see and do and I'm sure it will be brilliant.

Good Luck and keep your chin up!!!!! I'm sure everything will work out OK in the end.;) ;) :p ;) ;)

{{{Hugs}}} Libby - I know how disappointed you must be feeling - hopefully things will improve!

Disney are renowned for changing park hours so hopefully by the time you get to go there may be some changes for the better - but I am sure you will have a fantastic time anyway :D

Hi LIbby,

Have you ever taken a tour of one the parks?

A fun thing to do, and now there is a disney club or AP discount for the tours.

We took Behind the Scenes at Epcot last summer and really enjoyed it.

Something different.

Herc.

I dont know when you are there but there is a Shuttle launch scheduled for 22nd August:

Aug. 22 Shuttle Atlantis • ISS 9A
Launch time: TBD
Launch site: LC-39A, Kennedy Space Center, Florida

STS-112 will be the fifteenth U.S. mission to the International Space Station. The flight will deliver the first starboard truss segment, the S1 Truss, and the Crew and Equipment Translation Aid (CETA) Cart A to help spacewalkers move around the station's exterior. Pushed back from July 11, July 18 and Aug. 1 as ripple effect from delays of earlier shuttle flights. Delayed from Aug. 15. [April 11]

Thanks for all your positive comments. I was just feeling a bit low when I wrote the mssage. It has seemed a bit like one thing after another.

I am really positive, I know there's no other place I'd rather be going to and we will have a good time. There is still far to much to do than we can fit into a fortnight.

I had thought about a tour but with the children being 11 and 8 the only one open to the whole family seems to be the family magic. From what I've read this is a teasure hunt and I'm not sure if it would be fun dashing around in the August heat. But thanks for thinking of us.

Not long to go now:bounce: :Pinkbounc :)
