by far my fave was the red I think it is becaul tse of the red .. the white was too like everyone else.. so next time colored for all.. :) we all had a wonderful time and the shirts were great even with all the heart ache. :)

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OF THOSE THAT PUT TOGHETHER THESE DESIGNS EVEN AT SHORT NOTICE .. THANK YOU!
ARE NOT GOING AS PLANNED

sooooooo

First My printer automatically reverses the design when I choose iron on transfer from the menu of paper when I select the paper..

So.. totally forgot.. I mean I did know this but forgot and printed it out right sided..

grrr.. so chalked it up to use this one on an old shirt to make sure that I have it down.. right .. yea good thinking

soooooo then I do the first shirt came out looking great..

I start the next shirt.. thinking I got this.. that was easy..

got it centered from top to bottom side to side.. level .. iron on.. yay... NOT

its upside down perfectly positioned on the shirt..

GRRRR.. sooo have to get another shirt and maybe some additional iron on transfers.. that by the way are really not cheap..

OK .. I feel better thanks for listening.. "reading"

Oh dear, I know how you feel!!!

It does get better the more you do!!! I print mine out on plain paper to start with to make sure that they are all the right way around (or the wrong way if you get my meaning!) When you look at them placed on the T shirt, they should look completely as you will see them for real!

My problems were with the ironing, too long and they had a brownish ring around them, too little, they wouldn't peel off!!!

Frustrating!!!!

Kate

For that reason, my stuff has been on the desk for days. I just walk by, and stare. :scared1: I hate to ruin $20 worth of transfers~just to have to start again.
If someone is a pro, maybe they will share their secrets? :worship:

Before you peel the back off bend the corner.. will peel much easier.

Also dont leave the iron in the same spot for to ling.. thats how they turn brown.

We get our shirts at Michaels and sometimes they are on sale for only $2 each! Do you have one near you? Maybe even check online?

OK so ... has anyone had their shirts bleed?

I printed and the blue ink bleed. I am kinda afraid to wash the others that I have done..

The blue ink on the avery for light transfers..

Hey AMY have you ever had any problems with bleeding with your transfers? I have printed lots and have ironed them on.. I am hoping that I will not have that problem.. They are all remaining dry at this point.

but for the record .. I haven't had anymore problems with putting them on upside down.. :hippie:

I used Amy's transfers last year and using them again this year. The only ones I had to bleed were the ones I used with refilled ink cartridges. The transfers that I used with new ink cartridges did not bleed and still look good now.

Our first year I forgot to wash them out after the iron on transfer and put them in the dryer. My son's shirt bleed so bad when he got sprinkled at the MK! I use the brand that Staples sells and I've never had any issues....well except for not washing them first!

It was the blue ink.. go figure..

But I put it in the washer.. and the ink that bleed on the white shirt washed right out. And the shirt is just fine..

so ..

I might wash those .. but not the others..

go figure..

But soon.. maybe tomorrow actually. I will change the name of this thread and post my pictures..

I am sooo excited.

I did 60 shirts for my daughter's class and parents -- front and back this spring. I learned a few tricks if you still need them. I can also point you to some incredibly CHEAP transfer sheets and tees! Let me know if you still need help!

I am looking to make a few shirts, and would like to know where I can get some cheap iron on transfers.
