Just upgraded to WL!!

I initially booked ASMu for our trip next fall and swore I wouldn't stress over staying at WL or AKL this year. Well WL has been calling my name and I just upgraded! I was considering staying offsite just to have nicer accomodations and that's when DH caved, lol.

You will love WL. We've stayed there twice, once just before Christmas, once in the summer and it was great both times!!! The resort is beautiful and relaxing. Have a great time!!!

I too love the WL and can't wait to go back. I was actually on hold with member services today to book my Christmastime trip for next year. I literally just got back on Dec. 15th from a 10 day trip and miss it already. Have a great vacation.

We are going in April and I am so excited! We've never visited that resort before but everyone we talk to says it is the best. We were at the FQ in March so this is a big upgrade for us too. Those pictures were absolutely beautiful. They make me want to jump through the computer and be there now!

We stayed at WL in January of 05. It was our favorite winter retreat. There is something about WL and winter that just seem to fit! We are heading to the Wilderness Cabins on January 5-9th.

To visit the Villas Lobby also! It's just ahead if you walk straight instead of turning right to go to the bus stop. Definately worth at least a quick visit.

To the OP...I did the same thing for our trip in one week: originally booked at ASMu, and after thinking about it, called and upgraded to the WL! I love that place...this will be my second stay. Just got back from the GF a month ago (enjoyed that immensely), but already looking forward to the warmth of the WL!

It has been over 2 years since our family has gone to WDW. We were actually booked and had the trip payed for this past September but had to cancel. So I am really, really excited!

Horray for you - I am sure you will enjoy staying at WL as we did 2 years ago. DH was joking yesterday about our kids being disappointed that we are staying at BWV next trip and not "at the Lincoln Log Hotel." If you get a chance explore the little nitches overlooking the lobby on the upper floors - great places to snuggle up with a book.

OMG...I will be there in 1 week and can not wait! We are staying at Pop for 4 nights (ds's b day while we are there and he wants to stay there again!) and then switching to WL for 3 nights...MY 40th BDAY and that is where I WANT TO STAY! LOL

I have read and read about WL and have dined there a few times as well as toured the resort. Just wondering if anyone has any "tidbits" that might make a difference in our stay? We are planning on spending a day just at the resort to enjoy it completely...anything special we should do?

Congrats! That is really exciting!
We had originally booked the WL for our trip this past September, but ended up switching to the CBR to save $$. The DH fell in love with the WL from the very beginning and has always wanted to stay there. So, we have it booked for our trip next September. We have visited there, and also ate breakfast at Whispering Canyon. It is such a beautiful place, and I am excited about staying there as well!!
