JUST trying to upgrade BRP resort. WHY?!

I am on the phone, trying to upgrade from POFQ to AKL for my 3-night trip. The amounts the CM is giving me do NOT match what the website is showing me. I put deposit (1 night) of $104.82 for POFQ. AKL is showing available with water view for $172.84/night...all tax included. He keeps asking me for $126 more deposit due today, and then no balance. HOW? I am thinking, with the POFQ deposit, they should need only $68 more. He just sat there, as I questioned the amounts, and repeated "Hmmmm.... I am just telling you what the computer says." So now I am on hold waiting while he FINALLY asks someone for help, getting an answer for me.

I wonder if they are charging me the $50 change fee?

I am sooooo confused, and will be soooo sad if the AKL room is gone before this gets fixed! I am reaching deep into my own pocket to surprise my stepmom (a very frugal woman who will NOT pay more than $34.99/night for hotels.)

Ok...CM just came back. The AP discount on the phone is $238/night! So he is getting GS on the phone, to make sure they can refund my non-refundable deposit since I am switching resorts...or move the deposit over.

This is HARD! It was a toss up on whether to use the package discount, or the AP discount...practically the same price, but easier to manouver around the package discount. DARN! Should have chosen that!

UPDATE:

Got off phone finally. CM had called GS to see how to do it. I guess the discount for BRP is ONLY available online, really. Don't know what the OTHER discount he was telling me was!

Anyway, GS helped him change my ressie, to the discount I was seeing online that apparently GS could also access but the CM could not. So all is well. Gave my additional deposit of $68, and hopefully the rest will be as it should be!

So anyone calling to change BRP ressies, even at the AP phone number, need to know the rates to expect. Don't expect the CM's info to match yours!

I understand what you went through. It took several calls and the last one was more than 45 minutes to get my BRP room changed from AKL to BC. No one knew how to do it. They said BC did not show up in their inventory so they couldn't make the change. One supervisor told me they could not make any BRP changes, I had to make the change myself & if I could read I should be able to figure it out. :rolleyes: If they want to put a program such as this in place, they should either train CM's to know how to make changes to BRP reservations or they should modify their non-user friendly website to allow us to make our own changes. It was a totally frustrating experience!!!
 
I had a BRP rate for December and decided to change to
the dining plan, (same resort) I had to book a whole other
ressie and then call and cancel the BRP. When I called
the CM stated they would refund the deposit on I had on
the room only ressie with the BRP, but she could not
give me a reservation number. That makes me really
nervous. I will never book with the BRP again that
is for sure.
