Not sure what to do. We have 3 kids who we want to take for a great vacation to Disney. We get out of school at the end of May this year. Do we go the very first week of June which has Memorial Day on Monday and then Gay week the rest (we don't mind alternative lifestyles -just think crowds) or do we wait till the 2nd week of June?

If we avoid the parks on Monday (Memorial Day) and stay away from Magic Kingdom on that first Saturday in June. Will the crowds still be bad?

Will it also rain all the time? Oh what to do - what to do? Please anyone help me make up my mind. We have never gone to Disney unless it was in the first week of Dec. when there was no crowds. Thanks for any help.

We were at Disney the very first week in June this past summer. We got there on the 3rd and stayed through the 7th. I did not think the crowds were bad at all for summer. I think the earlier you go in the summer, the better. Lots of areas of the country are not out of school until further into June. We did not have any problems with the Gay Days, just don't plan on MK that Saturday and you will be fine. The "official" schedule is on their website and we just made sure to go to a different park in order to avoid the extra crowds, not the lifestyle, it doesn't make a difference to me. However, we did have rain almost every day, sometimes it would rain a couple of hours and quit, other days it rained on through the evening hours. This summer was a wet one though here in the South, hopefully you wouldn't see as much rain.
We had a great trip, the Flower and Garden show at Epcot is wonderful. We are planning to go back in June of 2004, probably arriving on Memorial Day or the day after, June 1st. We were always early December visitors too until our son started school. Now, we normally arrive on New Years Day for a long weekend and come back the first week school is out in the summer.
