Just tried to place an order at Disneystore.com...

but the prices on the items that I want are different than the prices in the catalog. The prices in the catalog are lower (sale). I called their toll free number and asked about the discrepancy in prices. The lady I spoke to said that the catalog and internet stores have different prices/promotions. Huh? Why does the catalog then have DisneyStore.com and the toll free numbers on the front cover? I told her this and she said that's the way it is. That makes no sense at all to me... and told her so. She also said that if I wanted personalized items for Christmas that today is the last day to order, not so according to the catalog.

I know that I can always place my order via phone, but I wanted to browse online.

Has anyone heard of this before?

I ran into the same thing on my last order. Something I ordered was $10 less in the catalog. After I sent the order, because I really needed it for a gift, I sent them an email. I asked why the price discrepancy? They sent me an email back saying they would charge me the catalog price. But, when I got the package, they had charged the on-line price. I realize that they say they are different from the catalog, but if that is truly so, why do they give the on-line address as an option in the catalog??

That's exactly my point, it's definitely misleading. I sent them an email asking for clarification on this point, we'll see what they have to say.

I ordered a gift on there Saturday night that came to $61.78 after shipping, tax, etc. My bank account had a $100 HOLD on it from the Disney Store until this morning! So, $161.78 was locked up until the credit card charge cleared. It was really annoying, and it panicked me because for the life of me, I couldn't figure out where the $100 went...and Wachovia had no record of it going anywhere. Has anyone else had this problem???
