It was difficult getting anything out of the cast member, but I did find out that they are working with DCL to get a point schedule for the California cruises. They hope to have it finalized by May 15th.

The Cast member let it slip that in addition to the 14 day and 7 day cruises that we know about, there will be a few 10 day cruises.

Update - it looks like the 10 day will include a few days at DL

Now, when you say 10 cruise with some time at DL does that mean it is included in the 10 days (ie 7 day cruise and 3 days at DL) or is that in addition to the 10 days at sea. We are looking to book one of the cruises using our points. I was told to call back May 15th too. I had asked about a land and sea deal but the CM I dealt with said that I would have to book the two separately. I am itching to book this trip. Any guesses as to how many points it may run--I am estimating at least 225 for a catagory 9 room. We also are trying to plan a trip this Oct. If we do I'll be getting a standard view room for sure and be well into 2006 borrowing points for the cruise.::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

I am not sure. The CM just said that there were 10 day packages. Since the Cruise is only 7 days long, I can only suppose the other 3 days will be at DL.

The cruises were selling like hot cakes today! Especially the repositioning cruises. Our family of 3 got a Category 8 from CA to FL $4,900 (no transfers, air fare or insurance). I doubt cruising on points could touch that price. 14 days sailing on the Magic! WooHoo!

I would get a room booked because prices are rising! Then on May 15th call MS and see what the points are going to run!

Great price. You must have called early. Like you said they were selling fast. All the EBS discounts are gone. I think your cabin now is going for about $7,000.

I hope DVC will come out with the points system for the Ca to Fl Cruise. I would like to use some to pay for the cruise..

We got a reservation from Dreams Unlimited for the Ca-Fla repositioning cruise, and when I went to the DCL web site this morning Cat 6, 7, 11, and 12 are showing as sold out. (Of course, that may change by Monday when people start letting their bookings expire.) By the time the 11-month window opens up I suspect that there will be very little availability on any of the west coast cruises.

That, coupled with the apparent demand, will probably mean the point charts for the repo cruises will be out of this World. Uh, their world. Uh, Disney World. Oh, you know what I mean...

Sorry forgot to add that

That was a cat 8 for FL to CA but I was told the points are the same for the return on August.

Glad I read this thread. I called MS early on May6, was told no point info and to call back at the eleven month window. I will call again to day to see what they say. We would really like to do the FL-CA cruise. Thanks again to the dis board for the scoop.

Will MS be open May 15, as that is a Saturday????

We just booked the July 2 2005 cruise through DCL. Depending how the point charts look, we might book one of the staterooms (we have 2 cat. 11- family of 5 ) with points come August. We were afraid that by then everything would be gone or that the cash price would be very high. Do they have to hold rooms for DCV points ?
