At the spur of the moment I changed our reservation in Sept from the Lodge to the Copper Creek 1 Bedroom Villa. I am hoping that it is worth the cost.

Has anyone stayed there before? Also any thoughts as to what requests I should ask for (location) when I check in?
So excited to be going back to WDW :drive:

How many in your party? What are the ages?
1 BR Villas are wonderful. You will have a King bed in the BR and a sleeper sofa in the LR. You will have a fully equipped kitchen, a stackable washer and dryer and a deep soaking tub in the BR.
You can stock your kitchen with fruit and breakfast foods, cold drinks and snacks. Even if you choose not to cook meals, you can save money on these and breakfast.
We love 1 BR Villas

Yep to that! Once we did a 1 bedroom villa, we were spoiled forever and haven't stayed in a non-villa room since! You will love it and yes the extra space and the washer drier makes it well worth the extra cost

The new CCV 1 bedroom would be wonderful. I even looked at the cost for it because there was one available for our trip dates. It would be great to stay in one. :)

I would ask for a nice view of Bay Lake because that is what we would like.

My love for copper creek is probably abnormal but after staying in a two bedroom villa in February I can’t wait to stay there again. We are even taking a tour to learn about possibly buying DVC at CCV. I found the rooms to be modern and efficient with stunning views. Staying Poly in a couple weeks so interesting to see if it can compete.

My only misgivings would be the bed situation and the proximity to the lobby. It can be a little noisy if you are close to the lobby. Otherwise, I found the villa (I had a 2-BR lockoff) to be very nice but a bit narrow and cut up.

Villas give you more space, always a good thing, although I am unfamiliar with the specifics at Copper Creek. A washer and dryer is worth the price of admission to me. Even if you don’t “cook”, the kitchen is a wonderful convenience.

I stayed there in December. I love having a king bed, which is my main reason for booking one-bedroom villas. I loved the hotel it was really pretty. But I feel like the room is a bit narrow and dark compared to others I've stayed in. They look like they just fit the room into the pre-existing hotel rooms. I think the makeup of your party matters though. The normal hotel room will have two real beds, while this will have one and a couch that pulls out. If you have kids that are okay with sleeping on the sofa it is nice for the parents to have a separate space with a door.

This trip will be just me me and my wife. We have stayed at other villas before (Beach Club and Boardwalk) years ago and loved it. This will be a first at WL. We have been coming back to the lodge for awhile now but never stayed in a villa. I know my wife loves having a washer and dryer and I will appreciated the King size bed. I was just trying to justify the cost difference with myself lol.

I was glad to find out that the villas are in the same building as the lodge. This makes it more convenient for us.

Copper Creek is GREAT. We stayed in a studio while they were finishing them up last year. The aesthetic is great. It's like the dee-luxe version of what they did with Pop Century.

If you can get something first floor near the end, the walk to Geyser Point is incredibly short and convenient. Especially if you want to use their drink refill station.

We stayed in a 1-bedroom at CCV last December. The rooms are beautifully designed. I would recommend requesting a room facing the quieter, villa pool. We were initially assigned a room way down the hall facing the main pool and geyser and I could hear the electric water pageant 3 times in one evening (WL, Ft. W and CR showings). We switched rooms to a room closer to the lobby which was much better (couldn't hear any lobby noise), but I think the rooms facing the quiet pool would be the least noisy. If noise doesn't bother you, the rooms down the hall facing the main pool have a view of the higher MK fireworks.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. I did ask for a pool view. I guess either pool would be fine. I am not too worried about noise. I am usually so tired at the end of the day I think I could sleep through anything.

Last time we stayed we had a pool view, regular rooms and the pool really wasn't noisy at night. The Electric water pageant did make us laugh when we heard it. I miss the sound of the boats.

I’d rather have a 1br villa than book club level rooms-eating snacks and drinking wine and beer we selected ourselves on the balcony in our pjs is wonderful! The washer and dryer means we can pack lighter.
Enjoy!
