Just stayed in an excellent pool home

We are just back from a 2 week vacation. We stayed the first week at POR then to a pool home at Sunset Lakes. We have rented many times but this home was by far the cleanest and had the best Disney themeing. The kitchen had Disney cups, kettle, etc. right down to the Disney chef's hat, Disney quilts on the 2 queen beds, a Mickey twin room and a princess twin room. Even the pictures on the wall were Disney. The house was also on a lake so no neighbors behind. Loved it!

The owner posts on these boards. I'd happily recommend this home. If any owners need someone to clean their homes they should contact her and get the name of the housekeeping lady. We even had towel animals! Her quality work made the house extra special.

Jennifer, if you read this thanks, we loved staying in your beautiful home.

The one posted about here sounds GREAT
however if it is unavaiable for the dates you are looking for which is could happen
I can highly recommend another home owned by a poster here( no not me but one great lady)

Hijacking allowed! I wish there were more personal experiences posted before we rented. You just never know until you get there. I'm sure your post is appreciated. I've read many post praising Jans home. Have fun on your next visit.

This is my first post so I hope I do this right. My family and I are renting a 3 bedroom pool home in April 2006. From the pictures and the discussions with the owner via email, it sounds perfect. 2 years ago I went through a well known company down there and it was absolutely wonderful. This time, I choose to go directly from an owner. Mainly because I wanted to pick the style and area of the home which I could not do with the company last time.

It's so nice to hear of other peoples experiences. I found the home for 4/06 from floridarentals and I also found it on vrbo. My children DS 5 and DS 3 are very excited about going.

This thread has been wonderful. I hope everyone who has read it has a better idea on renting pool homes for your vacations.It really can be a wonderful experience.

There are thousands of homes in the disney area and I know looking through them all can be daunting.

It is great that Lisa commented on ours and that other posters have commented on homes they have stayed in.I am sure Jan and I know myself appreciate everyone's feedback.

I do indeed Jennifer .I too fully appreciate that for a lot of people staying a rental home is a brand new and daunting experience and will have considerations when making a choice about dealing with an individual rather than a large agency especially when -like myself the owner hapens to live abroad but I would like to think that I do all I can to help ease their minds and make the whole process as easy as possible - so anyone with any questions at all about the rental process please do not be frightened to ask there is no such thing as a sill question when it comes to your vacations .

Thank you for the wonderful review!! You made our day. I am really glad you enjoyed your stay. Being clean and well-kept is very important to us.

I am going down the day Chris leaves (waving HI...Hope you enjoyed you stay, as well.)to make a few changes. The master will have a king bed and mickey and minnie tropical bedding , adding wrought iron day beds to the princess room. During the next 6 months we should have new family foom furniture.

Hopefully soon we will have new pages on the webpage.

To answer another persons questions about the age of our home..It is 6 years old.

This we have decided to do also since there are 3 families going.I hope we haven't made a mistake doing this,. Found the most Awesome house at Calabay Parc, it's too Ritzy for us, but what the heck, might as well enjoy some things that you know you can't afford. Anyone ever or know anything about this area.
