Just stayed in an excellent pool home

We are just back from a 2 week vacation. We stayed the first week at POR then to a pool home at Sunset Lakes. We have rented many times but this home was by far the cleanest and had the best Disney themeing. The kitchen had Disney cups, kettle, etc. right down to the Disney chef's hat, Disney quilts on the 2 queen beds, a Mickey twin room and a princess twin room. Even the pictures on the wall were Disney. The house was also on a lake so no neighbors behind. Loved it!

The owner posts on these boards. I'd happily recommend this home. If any owners need someone to clean their homes they should contact her and get the name of the housekeeping lady. We even had towel animals! Her quality work made the house extra special.

I'm am certain you will be very pleased with the house. You're so close to the parks. Do you know how to get in the Sherberth road entrance?

Be sure to ask Jennifer exactly how to use the electronic entry. It took us a couple of tries to figure it out.

Please, may I ask (since you also stayed at POR) if you felt you missed some of the "magic"??

I know you had lots of Mickey stuff around the house.......but if you didn't have all that, would you have felt less "magic"??

Happy to answer Mom of Sleepy, Bashful and BabyDoc. As we were packing up at POR that was the thought of the whole family. We thought maybe we should of just stayed on site. However, once we got to the house and had a few days to spread out, have our own bathrooms and bedrooms and pool, the whole family agreed that they enjoyed the house more.

For us it didn't diminish the magic a bit. In fact, we were more rested and relaxed and enjoyed our second week more.

I know off site isn't for everyone but for us it is more enjoyable and there is more room for all our packages. (I think we cleaned out The Market Place as well as the outlet mall).

However, once we got to the house and had a few days to spread out, have our own bathrooms and bedrooms and pool, the whole family agreed that they enjoyed the house more.

Also, did you use EMH while onsite and did you have any crowd problems without it staying offsite the 2nd week? My DH would love a private pool, but I am a little worried about going mid-June without the benefit of EMH.

Would love it if you could PM me the info. We are planning a FL trip next June and considering a pool home. Also, did you use EMH while onsite and did you have any crowd problems without it staying offsite the 2nd week? My DH would love a private pool, but I am a little worried about going mid-June without the benefit of EMH.

We did use EMH. The mornings were great but the parks were getting crowded by 11 AM. We did evening at MK and it was a nightmare. Never again. We kept thinking it would clear out, but it didn't and we gave up around 1AM. There was no fastpasses.

Could you give me some more info on the subdivision itself, please? I have stayed in Indian Creek and Emerald Island and loved the location. Where is Sunset Lakes in relation to this area? Are the homes fairly new? Thanks for your help!

Sunset Lakes is beside Emerald Isle on Funie Steed Rd. The home we stayed in looked very new. I'm not sure when this development was built. Maybe someone else could answer that question.

Thank you for the wonderful review!! You made our day. I am really glad you enjoyed your stay. Being clean and well-kept is very important to us.

I am going down the day Chris leaves (waving HI...Hope you enjoyed you stay, as well.)to make a few changes. The master will have a king bed and mickey and minnie tropical bedding , adding wrought iron day beds to the princess room. During the next 6 months we should have new family foom furniture.

Hopefully soon we will have new pages on the webpage.

To answer another persons questions about the age of our home..It is 6 years old.
