After looking at 22 halls on Long Island, my fiance Aaron and I decided to have a Disney wedding. We met while working for Disney ( I was was doing a college program and he was doing an international program (He is British and from England <3)) so we can't imagine doing it anywhere else. We want the ceremony in Epcot (where he worked) and the reception in Animal Kingdom (where I worked).

The problem is that the ceremony would be at 9am and the reception wouldn't be until like 7pm. I'm fine with the gap (even though Disney isn't) becuase the locations are important to us, but I just don't know what to do with our guests in the mean time. I thought of changing and going to the parks, but I only get to wear my dress one day so I'm not sure that I like that idea. Does anyone have any ideas as to what to do?
Thank you! :)

With such a large gap of time, you and your fiancee can certainly get in loooads of photos from various places around the World. You could hit up the fancy hotels and the Boardwalk to get some awesome photos in your wedding attire.

But as for what the guests could do, that is a bit more tricky. I doubt they would want to change into formal attire in the morning, change for the parks, then change back for a reception. You could plan other events throughout the day (character lunch with the guests depending on number, shopping downtown, etc.), but that may get pricey.

Did you think of having a dessert party in Epcot? Maybe you could do that for your welcome dinner/rehearsal to day before, and have a ceremony/reception the following evening in Animal Kingdom. Hope that helps!

I didn't think of that! I would love pictures in the UK Pavillion with my British boy :) But don't you have to be out of the park by 10am? So we wouldn't have THAT much time for pictures in Epcot, right?

Well, if you opt to do the first look before the actual ceremony, that will also give you more chances to get some photos in Epcot. :thumbsup2 And that is assuming the UK pavilion is either the location of your ceremony or really nearby, so you aren't dragging your photographer around the lake! :rotfl: But I doubt they would kick you out right at 10. The World Showcase isn't open for everyone else until 11 I think.

But I realize, when I said the World earlier, I meant just Disney World in general, not just the World Showcase! :rotfl: Sorry for the misunderstanding! But you should check out some photos people have gotten at the various hotels (Grand Floridian, Animal Kingdom Lodge, etc.), the monorail, and the Boardwalk. They are always beautiful! And you can for sure wear your dress to these locations. :thumbsup2
