Just Spoke With Disney Reservations

I just spoke with Disney reservations regarding the 2008 rates and to ask several other questions.

As most of you know, the www.disneyworld.com website is now letting you, at least, put in 2008 dates even though you get a message stating there are no resorts available for your requested date.

Before I called Disney reservations, I played around on the site and found the 2008 Wonderful Weeks of Disney schedule. Five of our 10 day stay will fall in the Wonderful Weeks of Disney schedule for May/June. I asked the CM if I would be able to get a discount for those particular days and I was told "more than likely" but that he couldn't say for sure until the actual rates come out.

I asked if he knew when the 2008 rates would be out and he said in just days. Just before concluding the call, he said I should certainly check back this weekend.

I hope that means the August 5th date everybody else has been told is true.

Please let this be true! Like everyone else, I'm dying for the prices to come out so DH and I can start saving up for his October 2008 business trip/our vacation.

I sure hope they don't go the route of all the hotels and have different prices for the weekends.

I sure hope your CM was correct. I called earlier today and was told 2008 room rates would not be out before the end of Aug. If we have to pay Holiday rates for the first week in Jan we are going to have to downgrade or stay less days. I would love to know why a company as large as Disney cannot communicate a date for 2008 price release to its CM's. I wouldn't think they would like the number of calls they receive each day asking the same question. When you read some of the posts it seems like some people call then daily.
