I've been away for a while. I ended up going home to take care of my mama. I drove her and the 8lb princess named Biscuit back to my house while she is recuperating. I was away in Arknasas for three and half weeks and then drove the 1065 miles back to my house.

I come home to find that my sweet(probably not the word I used;)) husband was going to be hosting new team members and their family at our house for a get to know you thing. Fine whatever but he is grilling burgers and dogs(possibly including the 8lb princess who gets car sick and now cries because she is away from home) and cleaning the house after everyone is gone.

I start back to work on Monday while juggling the sick mom, the 8lb princess, a needy husband(he has never been alone for more than 3 days and the almost month nearly did him in) while trying to get back into a routine.

I've worked nearly 12 hours a day for the last three days, cleaned up dog puke because she is upset from being away home, my husband had to leave out after an unexpected call and oh yeah I have a whole bunch of family coming in this weekend because my sister in law is graduating from a special school early next week. I'll have my mom, the mother in law, my brother in law, and my sister in laws husband here for the weekend. We are having a reception on Sunday with several of her classmates. Oh boy another party. wooo

My husband calls me on his way to wherever and tells me I had to take your car because mine was dead. Can you fix it?

So let's recap, I have a recuperating mom, a 8lb princess, a husband gone, a dead car, several people flying in tomorrow evening, a reception on Sunday, a major meeting for work tomorrow morning and hairy legs to be dealt with. Someone just shoot me and put me out of my misery.

Hope everyone else is doing better:rotfl:

When it rains, it storms!!!

Good luck!!!

It always seems that everything happens at once, doesn't it? I had a May and June like that and, thankfully, everything has now calmed down until August when it will start up again.

 It'll pass, Tina. Hopefully soon! Glad to see you posting again.

I am exhausted just reading your post! Good luck trying to get everything done, whew..... you sure do have a lot going on!!!

Good Lord Girl I think I'd hide if i had all that going on. WOW. If i had a gun i'd help you out:lmao:

Shave your legs. You'll feel better.

Are you telling me that your DH can survive Iraq but not clean a house?

Maybe he needs to borrow some of your big girl panties:lmao:

:rotfl: Best advice ever on a DIS thread!

Hugs, Tina. Want me to drive down and rescue you???

You can come for the party:goodvibes Meet the inlaws:rolleyes1should be a good time for all:rotfl:

The tow truck is coming to deal with the dead car, I'm going to show and deal with the hairy legs and sit on the deck and plan my meeting tomorrow and the menu for Sunday. I'm thinking maybe some chocolate or a mojito will help me in the process. It'll get better. Hey at least mama is just visiting. It certainly could be worse:cheer2:

-and a partridge in a pear tree-eeeee! :lmao: Sorry, couldn't resist. My prayer to you for your continued sanity and good humor.

Give either CCFan or me a call, I think we're both good to go on lending you a hand Tina.

agnes!

Agnes - let's just go get her and force her to go out to lunch and drinks with us to destress. :thumbsup2

Boy that is tempting - get to see Tina AND be entertained by the in-laws and out-laws... :rolleyes1 (If you need help, I'm there for you, babe.)

Well, you've made ME feel better!!:goodvibes

Sounds like your plate is overflowing! Hang in there and, I agree, shaving your legs may make you feel brand new.

It seems like the 8lb princess is 800 lbs of trouble.

Wear slacks or long skirt to cover the hair legs.

The mojito--definitely!

Sounds like your dh is going to be busy cleaning, isn't he!!!:thumbsup2

Oh Tina -

Take it one step at a time, and have a glass of wine!

Nah....in my house I think I'd shave my DH's legs if he dumped on me like that! It would be easier to shave mine (most days), but I think I'd enjoy him waking up to his legs being shaved more!

Hmmm.....(she said raising eyebrows and contemplating evil thoughts)...maybe shaving his head or back would be better...

So sorry, it all happens at once doesn't it?

I thought of something that might help & relieve some stress. Do you have a grocery store that delivers? If you get the food/supplies you need for the company & party that could take some of the stress off.

In this area it is only a $10 delivery fee & often so worth that $10.....

Oh, Tina, you brought a smile to my face! You have such a way with words. You'll get through this.

Hang in there.

Oh My! I've got to go take a nap now. I thought MY plate was full but you win, hands down, no contest, first place award. Sorry. Just do what HAS to be done and leave the rest of it for your husband. He's ADDING to your list? Are you allowed to sweetly but firmly say, 'you'll need to handle that yourself sweetheart.'?
