Just scored free TOMS thanks to Zulily's error

I ordered TOMS on Zulily for my DDs last week and just got this email from Zulily:

"We made a mistake—the pink butterfly TOMS shoes you ordered were pictured incorrectly on our site. They had been confused with the same style of shoe in a different pink butterfly print. We caught the switcheroo after the similar shoes had already been shipped to you—they're on the way. You'll receive the size you ordered.

We've issued you a $24.99 store credit refund, plus an additional $10 credit. Your credit can be used toward anything on zulily. We're sorry about the mix-up!

While the shoes you were expecting aren't available, we hope you'll enjoy the similar pair. Please keep them when they arrive, or give them to a friend or charity."


Yay for the credit and bonus to spend more, but I am disappointed because I had ordered them so my DDs could match. But, I'll take it! :)
 
Wow, what great service. Most places will only admit they made a mistake after call and get the run around for a while. They seem to go way above and beyond.
 

I love Zulily, I have ordered so many great things from them - I sometimes get frustrated with how long it's takes for things to be shipped up here to Canada - but I am also a horribly impatient person so it's not all their fault! :rotfl:
 
Ha! I got the same exact email from them about my DD toms that were also the same pattern. Makes me wonder how big of a mistake they made with this pattern. The only thing is I still wish that they were selling TOMS right now so I could use my new credit for more shoes LOL! I also have two other pairs waiting to ship so hopefully they did not make this mistake with other patterns ;)
 
Darn, I almost orders those for my DD. I went to get a card and they sold out in her size. Could have had shoes and a credit, too.
 
Dang! I almost ordered those!

I ordered Keens from them a few days before the Toms but found them cheaper on Amazon right afterwards. They were great canceling, but I am still waiting on my refund. Grr....They said they finally put it through manually today.
 
that is one reason I love zulily they have super customer service and I love to get able to watch their deals. They have some super cute Easter stuff today.
 
Twice in this past week, Zulily has run out of the stock of something I ordered and credited me $10. I've had this happen to me numerous times. I actually love it when it happens, it makes their good deals even better!

That is great service. If I received $10 for every
item I ordered from Disney Store that was out
of stock, I'd have hundreds!
I'll have to check out Zulily. Not to try to
get free stuff but because I like to patronize
places that serve the customer well.

I was thinking exactly the same ...and wishing for more TOMS!! Truly is great Customer Service!!
 
I was able to pick up some skechers shoes for myself today at zulily love them alot!

Just wanted to give an update on the shoes that I ordered. They were supposed to be delivered by ups yesterday and did not arrive, my other shoes that I ordered on a later day did however so I called zulily to check to see what happened and they just said they were shipped and I should call my local post office. So I just got off the phone and they post office said they were last scanned in Memphis (I live in Texas) on Feb 27th and I guess fell off the face of the earth because no one seems to have any info after that :( Zuilily is refunding me for the shoes but I am sad that my DD is not getting her TOMS now. I know the OP was in the same boat as me with this order for her DD and this pattern so did anyone else receive their messup pattern shoes ?
 
I ordered 3 pairs of Toms for DS during the zulily sale (Feb 21) and my order is still showing as "confirmed" and no indication of shipping.....although they said when ordered "ships within 7-14 days.....no emails telling me why order is still only "confirmed". Maybe I need to be contacting their customer service if other people's orders have shipped already. :worried:

I would call them....couldn't hurt. They have wonderful customer service and should be able to tell you what the hold up is all about :)
