Hello everyone! I'm new to the board and just wanted to say hi. We are planning our WDW trip for the beginning of November this year, we are going to celebrate Mom's 50th Birthday and also for the Food and Wine Festival. I'd love to get everyone's opinion on the F&W Fest, also does anyone happen to know when they take the Halloween decorations down? Just wondering if they will still be up when we are there. Thanks!

Halloweeen decor comes down quickly after the last MNSSHP, usually on Nov 1st or 2nd. They will pretty much immediately start putting up Christmas decor.

Also MK is the only park that really decorates for Halloween.


F&W Fest is great but can be very crowded and rowdy on weekend with more locals coming in. Early in the day during the week is the best time to visit. Each country will have booths set up offering snack size portions of meals, snacking your way thru the WS is a great way to get a good taste for the F&W festival.

Thanks for the great advice! Will definitely try going to F&W earlier in the day and hopefully skip some big crowds. Now I'm even more excited about going and experiencing all that F&W Fest has to offer! Although it does look like we will probably miss the Halloween decor by about 2 or 3 days, but that just gives me another reason for yet another WONDERFUL trip to Disney!!

we love thw f & w fest. DH & I have said that if we do the F & W fest again we would do the QS dining plan. With more snack credits, the snack credits made the fest so easy.

I love visiting during the f&w fest! I actually wish they didn't have the christmas decorations up during this time. I would prefer my vacation photos without the christmas background. But I still love going in November. I will only be catching the tail end of the festival this year.
