Just saw a banner about the 4/3 deal for the fall...

You booked free dining for Nov and you didn't have a PIN code? :confused3 How'd you manage that?!

I got a code for free quick service but I wanted the BDP and the CM said I'll work my magic for you and she did. I can't believe it went through especially over Thanksgiving day and weekend.

Does Disney typically release so many different offers via pin at one time? There are several different offers right now, for the same time period. I wonder if this is their way of market research, and the offer(s) with the most popular response will go public? Hopefully it is 4/3 again, or at least 5/2 with free gift card.

Not that I have seen in 3 or so years of watching these boards. I have never seen as many promotions as this. I can only speculate that Disney is offering these codes aggressively due to a less than great economy right now.

I agree, but why so many!? It must be complicating for CMs who have to book so many different offers. My guess would be that they're "testing the waters" to see which offers people take advantage of. At least, I hope so, because I have yet to get a PIN but I'm ready to book for Nov/Dec, but I'm not gonna pay full price! I'm hoping for some public codes soon.

I just called to see if I could use my pin for my Dec trip and when I called Disney's number, the system knew I had a code and asked me to enter it and the CM could see it when she came on the line.

Booked Dec 16-22 Pop Century Standard room free QS dining, one day base ticket since we will probably have our AP's then for $957.62 for 2 adults only

Normally, there wouldn't be a discount past Dec 18th

You can't beat 6 nights/7 days plus food for less than $1,000

Just went to the main WDW web site and saw a buy 4 get 3 free banner. But when I clicked on the banner it just lead to the discount page, and had no details about the 4/3 deal. Now when I go to the page the banner is not there. I am not sure if it was a web-site error, or someone jumped the gun and posted the banner prematurely. Thus, does anyone know if the 4/3 deal is coming back for the fall?
I just got a pin last week for a fall buy 4 get 3 deal so I don't think it would come out for the general public. :confused3

I don't doubt somebody saw the banner on the Disney website, but it seems strange to me that they would issue e-mails with pin codes for this very offer and then make it available for everyone. There would be no point in being selective or random about the mailings, and then doing it widespread, unless they were trying to get a "feel" for potential bookings.

I did wonder when they came out with Free dining for this August-October why they didn't extend that through the end of the year? After all, they basically ended up doing 4+3 for the first 8 months. Could it be that bookings for October-December are actually up and looking good, and so they're just shooting out the occasional pin code to fill in the remaining vacancies? Will Visa offer Free Dining again this year? Time will tell.

Disney has already admitted it's not making any money; their earnings release today, particularly for the parks, was abysmal. But they have also stated that they want the parks packed now so that they don't have to reduce hours or lay off any more workers, and that when the economy turns around it will be business as usual. Still, if 4+3 gets released for the end of the year I will be shocked. I think the economy is turning around right now.

That is the way they do all their codes. they start out sending a group of e-mailed and snail mailed codes, then a few weeks later open it to either the AP or Disney Visa holders, then to the General public.

These codes that were recently sent out do last until year end, because Disney doesn't usually extend discounts past the week prior to Christmas because it is a peak time.

Visa doesn't offer those discounts, Disney does and they pass them on to Visa for their Disney card holders who are given second choise behind the pin code holders from the e-mail and snail mail.

I got the pin code for the 4/3 deal for 10/2-11/24 via Disney Destinations email. I wouldn't think they would send it as a pin code then release to the general public.

As I stated in the post above yours, that is how discounts are usually started, as mailings, then releasing them to other categories (visa holders, AP, FL AP holders), then to the general public.

sorry, might be a silly question, but I keep hearing people getting these good offers by pin codes. How do you get these? thanks, Kim

My guess is that Disney is keeping a close eye on the comparative booking rates for each code, to gauge which offer is likely to be the most successful for general public release. The fall general public codes don't usually come out until August, so this scatter-shot approach of sending out PINs for several different offers will give them information to work from in deciding what that general public offer should be.

Nobody has yet come up with a definitive answer to that one, it still remains a mystery.

I have been on 9 trips in the last 4 years and was very shocked to get one. My cousin hadn't even taken her first trip and got one, my supervisor went last year with her In-laws and didn't stay on property, but she got one.

Well I am embarrased to say I got all three pins out there. Three different email addresses.

The free dining works out about 53 dollars cheaper than the adults play for kid prices. And we have two kids in the "adult" range. We priced out our family of four at WL (courtyard view only left) and got 3019.82 (that has insurance) with a five nights, 5 day base ticket and free regular dining.

The Free dining pin worked out to be 2966.79 for the same package.

Since we couldnt stay for seven nights in november I did price out the stay 5 get two free with a $200 gift card.

I signed up on the disney.com website for an account, and for disney destinations. I checked the 'send me special promos' and i have received several pin codes over the past few years. I guess registering doesn't necessarily mean you'll get one, but I would think it would improve your chances.

I don't think your message had posted when I wrote my response, or at least I didn't see it. Thanks for the insight.

Just called about the codes I received. I got the kids play, stay and eat for free and the 4day/4 nite at value code. I mentioned to the cm that others were getting free dining during the period that we're staying. She checked my pins and my email address and said that I too could get the free dining even though my email didn't state that. I was attached to my email address on their end. That would be for 11/19 through 11/22, but that I would have to upgrade to a moderate because the values do not have free dining. So to upgrade to the POFQ for 3 adults, 1 child for 3 nites, free dining and 9 day hopper passes (yes I said 9 because we're renting points for the other 5 nites at the BC) it would be $1801.04. If I kept my other reservation which is 4 nites (11/19-11/23) with 9 day hoppers and free dining/free passes for my granddaughter, it would be 1783.00. Do I have a deal with the moderate? :confused3 I don't know. Can anyone figure this out for me? :)

I don't think buy 4 get 3 free is as good as the free dining plan offer

It was way better for us. Saved more money overall even if we had bought the dining plan on top of 4/3, plus we don't want the dining plan anyway. So not only are we getting 43% off rack rate, we aren't paying for something we don't want.

I have free dining at a Value resort in December, it is only the Quick Service Plan, but that is fine with us. The Basic Plan is what is available at the Moderates. We are staying at Pop for 6 nights, 4 nights at a Holiday rate with free QS dining, 2 adults, 1 day base ticket for less than $1000.
