Just returned from our first ever visit to WDW. Trip report coming up in a few days with pics, but have a question for ya..

The wife and I are both 28, and have never to WDW prior to last week. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip, REALLY loved our stay at Vacation Village at Parkway (any closer, you'd be on the property! OK, thats a lie, you' be at the Radisson, but still...)

For those of you that made your first ever trip there as an adult, were you slightly dissappointed in MK? Did you think that Cinderalla's castle was only about half the size in reality verses the Disney marketing photos? That you could walk out the other side in about 20 paces or so? Did you think that 'It's a small world' would put you into a mental home before you finished it? Did you think that talking to the monorail driver (we got to sit up front!) about what would happen if a cow somehow appeared on the tracks is the coolest conversation to have with a CM?

We did enjoy the trip. We loved Epcot the best, and ended up spending 1.5 days there, split a day at MGM/AK, and a day at MK. Well, part of a day. We left at 2pm and went back to Epcot!

Edit - Forgot to mention the longest wait we had in any park was for Space Mountain - 10 minutes - and that included the 5 minute walk to the ride..

JeffC,
If you think Cinderella's castle is smaller than you expected, you should see Sleeping Beauty's Castle in Disneyland! It's like a dollhouse compared to Cindys' castle.

I'm happy to hear that your line waits were so short. . .hope I have the same experience next month!

Just got back too. I agree.........the wait times were SO SHORT. No need for FastPass. Wonderful.

BEST Month to GO!!;) (I didn't get to go this month, but might in May).;)

Jeff I was very diasppointed in Cinderella's Castle when I was a kid, I couldn't believe you couldn't tour through all the rooms. Maybe all the pixie dust on the boards raised your expectations a little too high! Sounds like you had a great trip though!

Imagine my disappointment when I went around to the back of the castle(because the Remember the Magic parade was out front) to try to go inside for the first time and a CM comes running at us through the little open breeze-way saying go back out you can't come in here because they have the Charactors out in front of the castle. I guess they didn't want anyone behind the Charactors or people peeking out the front entrance while they were performing or something like that. I was afraid to go back later. I waited til the next trip then all I saw in there was a gift shop!:p
