Howdy Everyone!
Just got back from our first time at FW. We had a great time!
I've been to WDW 2 times before, and this was the most enjoyable trip yet. I really enjoyed returning to the camper and feeling like I was at home rather than a hotel room. I was very surprised at the lack of bugs! We were sure we would be eaten up by the mosquitos, but I don't think we saw any.
We had requested a site on loop 1500, but we were assigned loop 2000. It was nice, and very peaceful.
There is some work going on in 2000, as one of the comfort stations is being renovated, so it's been shut down. FW did open the comfort station in the comunity camp (I forgot what it was called) and it's already been updated. I guess none of the other campers knew about the new station being open, so we mostly had it all to ourselves!
As far as the busses, we decided to start driving ourselves after a couple of days, and it was a lot faster.
We also had a couple of storms while we were there, but after the storms the temperature dropped about 10 degrees or so, really pleasant.
Now we're thinking about getting a bigger camper for next time!

We just got back also on Saturday, was a great week! We were very fortunate to dodge the storms, (we were at the MK the day the hail storm hit, no damage to our tent just a small puddle of water). We did the Hoop Dee on Friday night and thought maybe you were there, since there was some people from LA there. This was our 3rd year camping at the Fort, and we are so hooked! Even with 5 girls (2,4,4,7,15) we still have the times or our lives there. We got a sight on the 1400 loop, and with a little explanation on camping with 5 young gals, they gave us 1439.... right next to the comfort station and the campfire! This year was our first year with bikes, all 6 of them and the bike trailer for the 2 year old, we didn't have to ride a bus all week! I could write a small book on our adventures....
