Just returned yesterday from a first time solo trip to Orlando and first time staying at CPGV in a l br unit. Bid $l. on unit, plus usual SA fees for 7 nights.

I was very pleased with my l br unit in bldg G. Spotlessly clean, paint and floor look new as well as bedding. 550 sq foot. Not huge, but plenty big enough for a couple and perhaps small child. Only downside, no dishwasher which I thought was odd. Maids had done the fancy fold towel thing, and even folded the toiletpaper edge and paper towel edge fancy. I peeked into the 2 br unit next door tome while the maids were cleaning it one day, and it is huge.

Checkin took about a minute and staff were friendly. No mention of skyauction. One morning I called front desk for hhelp in getting a fan turned off, and someone came wthin two minutes. I saw security people walking/driving around at night. The resort was very busy.

I love the location of the resort. Very easy to get in and out with a stop light getting you on to SR535 (a busy road.). Two stoplights north of hotel boulevard. Very easy to travel to SeaWorld and Universal on Palm Parkway/Turkey Lake Road and avoid I-4.

WinnDixie a block away made for fast grocery shopping. Would definitely stay at CPGV again with my family in a 2 or 3 br unit.

If you are looking for a clean, economical offsite lodging near downtown Disney, this resort should be a consideration.

Thanks, mom.

My DD wants to stay at CPGV now, LOL.

I shopped at the Winn-Dixie several times and thought prices were good. Bought a 6 pack bottled coke to take into parks at the WD. Price $2.50 not on sale. Ran over to Goodings one night and saw the same item for $5.99. Wow! Milk at WD about $3.30 gal and a buck more at Goodings.

I loved the CPGV when I stayed there earlier this year! I agree, the 2 BR is huge, and having such close access to Disney is great! I also thought that is was very convenient to the restaurants (we loved Cici's!), and also to the Winn Dixie. The road that goes in front of Palm Pkwy. where you turn into to get to CPGV is a great shortcut to Sand Lake Rd. if you want to visit that area. Just go straight on that road, and it will come to a light and you will turn right to get to Sand Lake Rd. That's how I got to Ticketmania, and the Super McDonalds, and other shopping.

CPGV--Cypress Pointe Grand Villas

Herc, I too was amazed at the Goodings prices. You almost might as well just buy everything in the parks for the prices they charge!! Thank goodness for Publix and WinnDixie!

Thanks. We stayed at Orbit One last month thru skyauction and plan to do so again next trip, but if we can't get that, I'll put this on my list.
