Just returned from 8 days at a cabin at Fort Wilderness. Here's my review:
We checked in early and cabin was ready, number 2703. It was in a beautiful area, close to bus stop. We were very pleasantly surprised, the cabins are so roomy. Lots of room for 4 of us to spread out. The one thing I noticed right away, very limited drawers for unpacking. Only 4 small drawers in bedroom. Closet was big enough. Kitchen great, roomy, nicely set up. The second day there I returned alone to room and card key didn't work for some reason. I called. they sent a guy who let me in and got new keys for us. The 3rd day there I returned from parks and air conditioning was not working, it was blowing hot air. I called and they said they'd send someone. I waited an hour for the guy to tell me he needed AC repair guy. He came, said it was easy fix but it was raining and they couldn't change part in rain, had to go on roof. I waited (in the 100 degree heat), they returned and fixed it. Wrong, it still didn't work. They said the needed another part and left. By now I had been sitting in heat for close to 3 hours. On his way back after 4 hours, my husband stopped at check in area and they said we could move to another cabin next door. We packed, they sent someone to help us move. It was a pain to move but worth it in the heat. The rest of our time was uneventful. We used the bus quite a bit and it was fine, busses came quickly. The campground is huge. We walked to quiet pool which was next loop over, not a bad walk. We took bus to big pool which was packed, no chairs available but found a picnic table in the shade. All in all we loved the cabins. They were worth the money. They were quiet and campground is very pretty.

Thank you for posting. I do have a question tho. How close are the RV sites to the cabins? We are planning on driving our RV down but also want to get a cabin because of our large family. Half will stay in RV and half will stay in cabin.

They can be close. We did two cabins with my dad and stepmother staying on an RV site. They were able to walk to the cabins.

Link your reservations together and Disney will do the best they can.

Following up on your storage issues, which we agree with - not enough drawers and the closet is very small:

1. We bring a large cube hanger for the closet. IKEA sells a nice one, it holds 4 drawers worth of clothing.
2. There are cabinets on either side of the Murphy bed for the people who use the living room as their bedroom.
3. The bathroom has a lot of storage under the sink.
4. The nightstand in the bedroom has a nice drawer for underwear and socks :rotfl:
5. The TV stand had a nice storage area underneath that we used for beach shoes, bags and towels. Easy to grab to go out to the pool.
6. There's storage space under the kitchen bench for suitcases, case of water, that sort of thing.
7. Put your suitcases back in your trunk when you empty them.
8. Or use your suitcases for clothes and put them on the top bunk if you don't use it to sleep, or take them down to sleep and put them back during the day.
9. When all else fails, use kitchen cabinets.

If you plan it logically, you can fit all your stuff. It just takes a little time to figure it all out.
