Just returned yesterday, and had a very good experience with Alamo.

We arrived at MCO around 8:15 pm. We have Quick Silver, so we didn't need to stop at the terminal counter. (I did make a point to check on the line at the counter, and there was none.)

Stepped right into the the QS booth, and provided my license & credit card. The rep. said that the $25 coupon I booked with was noted in the computer, but didn't ask to see it.
She didn't mention extra insurance, but did ask if I'd like to pre-pay for gas, which I declined of course.

All in all, it took about 5 mins. in the QS booth, and we were on our way. We chose the Saturn mid-size SUV.

For the return, we fueled up at the WDW Hess. The guage didn't move from there to MCO.

Checkout was quick and easy. We had our receipt and luggage in about 5 mins. from pulling up.

What code/coupon did you use? Did you have your insurance card with you? I have a QS reservation for late August. I haven't used Alamo before. I used the Wal-Mart code and a coupon I found online (which is actually an Entertainment coupon).

Hi,

We used the $25 Entertainment Book coupon you mentioned.

As far as insurance i.d. goes, I do bring a copy of my card.
I also have a letter from my ins. company (with my name and policy #), specifying that my policy covers rental cars, etc.

We've rented several times, and I guess I'm lucky, but I've never needed to provide any of the things mentioned above, as I've never had a hard sell on the insurance.

If I didn't have proof, I'd be sure to need it...

Hope this helps:)

That's good to hear, I used National last time and they were great :thumbsup2 but we couldn't pass up the deal on the Alamo mid-size SUV. I thought it was a Chevy Equanox? :confused3 . Did they let you pick from a set of cars or what? Do they have more than one area to go to like National in the 2 different terminals?

Thanks, YO

Hi,
We were directed to the Alamo's mid-size SUV section, (which is what class I reserved).
There were at least a dozen red Saturn mid-size SUV's (Saturn Vue, I think), and just one Chevy Equinox. The Equinox had a few dings and scrapes, so we passed on that one.

Chevy Equinox is one model of mid-size SUV that Alamo offers. In addition to that and the Saturn, there's a Pontiac mid-size SUV. All are similar to the Equinox.
There might even be other mid-size SUV models that Alamo offers, but those mentioned are just that I've seen on the last couple of trips.
