We spent 7 nights (12/23-12/30) at the Lodge with our 2 eight year olds. We loved it. Our previous on site stay had been at
the Poly (with concierge) and would pick the WL again definitely.

We were in room 6113 courtyard view. Queen and bunk beds. We had a full view of the courtyard, pool and lake. We could see ELP from our balcony.

I guess I could be really picky and find some things that were not 100 percent but it did not affect our stay whatsoever. I do have a question for WL vets: Do they do the towel creations anymore? We didn't have any the whole stay.

We ate at WCC, Chef Mickeys, Boma and most of the rest of our
dinners were off property. Anyone who likes something different should definitely go to Boma, excellent.

I'd be happy to answer any other questions.

animals almost every day during our stay in May. I've posted some negative things on these boards about our stay at WL because we were quite disappointed, but mousekeeping did a great job. I won't go into the negatives because that's not what this post is about. I will say that WL is so beautiful and in such a great location that I wish I would have had a better experience. It's such a shame...

Glad you had a nice stay!

We had towel animals every day but 1 during our Sept stay. When we were at CR, we got none. Guess you got a "off keeper".

When we stayed at the Poly we just stopped and asked our mousekeeper one day in the hall. She did amazing arrangements every night after that! :) We also tip twice a day, in case it's a different person in the evening. :)

We have stayed at WL 3 times and have yet to see any towel animals!

We were at WL 12/20-27 and did receive towel creations on several days, but not all. Other days she would arrange the kids' toys, but not as creatively as we had experienced in June. I think occupancy levels were much higher though, and possibly there just wasn't time to be as elaborate. We got nothing at all on our last day (day after Christmas).

Hi tobrown :wave2:

Thankyou for sharing your great review of the Lodge. I cannot wait to stay there......our next trip will be our first stay in a deluxe resort. And WL has always been my first choice !

Was the room you stayed in, 6113, in the north or south wing?

How convienent was it to the boats and bus stop ?

Glad to here your had a GREAT TRIP, When I stay in Sept. no towel animals.

On our trip in Nov. we recieved towel animals everyday. (I think it depends on whether the CM knows how to make them or has time to make them)

This was the first trip we had ever received them.

We were at WL Dec. 6-13 in room 5009 and had towel creations each day. This was our 16th. stay at WL, even though it isn't perfect it's our favorite resort at WDW. We have also stayed at AKL, GF, Poly, BWI and DL.

On our December trip to WL, we received 3 towel animals, 2 on one day and 1 on another day. This was our first time to get any. Have never gotten any from the other Disney resorts. We were so excited !! I guess it just depends on the housekeeper assigned to your room.

Better luck on your next visit.

We stayed at theWL from Dec 7-13, room 6147.

We had towel animals each day.

I'm glad that you enjoyed your trip!

I started this thread, forgot to add something that was a nice
touch. On Xmas we received a small gift package with a card and some candy, cookies in it.

Thanks for letting me know of your stay. We will be going in less than 1 month (!) and are really looking forward to our winter vacation.

No towel animals for us last summer at WL...oh well, we will definatly always go back to WL, we loved it!

We were there in Oct and had Towel Animals everyday but the 1st one. After thanking our Mousekeeper in person and visiting with her she somehow remembered my husband was a fireman and before we left we had 2 Dalmations complete with lots of spots on the beds . She also made us 2 of the cuteset little Angels for over the beds . We were in room 7048.
