We returned yesterday 6/9. It was humid, it rained everyday, the crowds were thick...and I would do it all over again. We really had a good time.
I thought that with Gay Days going on that the crowds would be crazy, but they really weren't. We did have to wait 85 minutes for Soarin', but it was worth it and I would do it again. We waited an hour for Test Track and I will only FP that one from now on.
I could have done without the humidity, but overall it was not so bad. Living in Texas, we are used to heat and humidity.
I did not encounter any of those rude wheelchair or stroller users I read so much about. I had one lady almost hit me with her electric wheelchair because she did not know what she was doing, but she was older and I thought nothing of it. I did not get clipped by any strollers. There were those annoying people that stopped in the middle of the walkway for no reason, but most of those did not have strollers or wheelchairs.
I believe I only had a few incidents where I had to say something.
1. There was a little boy behind me who poked me in my booty a few times. After having his hand/finger in my butt crack for the 3rd time in 5 minutes, I did turn around and tell his mother, "Would you kindly get your son's finger out of my butt."
2. While we were standing in line for "Honey I Shrunk the Audience", there were two girls muggin' down. It was quite nasty because it sounded like they were eating taffy. I did look at them and tell them to get a room. Nobody needed to see or HEAR that.
3. We were eating at H&V and the little boy at the table next to us would not sit down and eat and instead decided to play with his light saber between our table and his and it was annoying. He got really close to my daughter's eye and I put my hand up and shoved the saber away over towards his parents. After that, his dad finally got onto him, made him put it up and they left about 5 minutes later. The mom just sat there like it was no big deal that he was disrupting our (and other guests) meals.
We did encounter some families with children that were in line behind us that constantly hit or poked us, but once I gave the parents "the look", it stopped.
Overall it was a pleasant trip. I did learn one thing, however. I will never go on a vacation with my MIL again. She pouts like a baby if she does not get her way. She thinks she should always be first, that everybody should do everything for her and that it is all about her.
If you have not done Soarin', please be sure to do so. You will be so glad you did. It was awesome. Very nice, relaxing and quite amazing.
**Just a suggestion.....unless you think you will melt in the rain,
I would not waste money on ponchos. We used the ponchos to cover our camera backpack, but did not wear them ourselves. After being so humid outside, the rain felt great. And, wearing a poncho with it being so humid, only made you hotter.

That is hysterical!
Just the opposite.
