Just returned- highs and lows!

Thanks of the report..... I have noticed people have become very rude and impatient the past few years...or may be I am less tolerant. :)

Great round-up :goodvibes

I was particularly interested to hear your thoughts about HHNs at Universal

We are staying for a few days at Universal next October and I was in two minds about going to this - blood and gore don't bother me at all but people jumping out at me freaks me out :scared1:

Fab report, im glad others have mentioned the crowds i thought i must be going mad as i thought it was so much busier then other years when i visited in October.
We have been in may and it was lovely F&G is great to see not quite the same as F&W but no crowds :)

Thanks! Yep, F&G is very appealing...

I'm so jealous even though we leave on Monday for 15 nights we usually go much earlier like end of September and love the hot weather!

I'm really really hoping that the weather stays as hot as it had been doing over there as it seems they had some Super nice days, I'm a huge worrier when if comes to Florida weather lol, and I keep imagining rain and cold since its November!!

It won't be cold, it'll definitely still be warm. Prepare for cool evenings though- there were quite a few while we were there, despite it being so hot in the day.

No problem. :cutie: Yes, I was thinking that maybe I'm just less tolerant too... Maybe a bit of both?! :rotfl:

Thanks Linda, nice to see you here! I'll be honest and say that there is a LOT of jumping out by the performers, however after a while it becomes quite obvious when it's going to happen and it's all quite amusing, rather than scary. I'd definitely recommend going- I've been putting it off for years and I loved it. Great atmosphere! :thumbsup2

re: rude people issue, let me vent a little

2 hours ago, Epcot exit (right exit on the amaze parking side), lady in her 25s with mom, literraly slammed the metal gate behind her on DS' stroller, missing his feet by inches but square on the front wheel (city elite)

girl turn towards us and said in a cheesy voice ''oh didn't see you'' she didn't appologize.
if only she had not held the gate, I wouldn't be fuming, but she deliberately slammed the door on my son
and to add insult to injury, we heard her turn to her mother (early 50s lady) and said ''it's not my job to hold it for them''

thankfully not all guests are like that but I needed a few minutes to manage to calm DW down

we also met some very stupid or mean guests, like tonight at test track, after the ride there's a chevy convertible you can sit in. a guy has his kids sit in the car and we were right behind. when he made his kids get off he slammed the door shut rather than leave it open for the next guest

that's the kind of event when you realise that people are oblivious to whatever and whoever is ''outside'' of their personnal scope

and sorry if I break a forum rule here or if I break a taboo, but these rude behavior are most of the time accompanied by the use or spanish or portuguese, and it really stands out even if you try not to ''discriminate'', it's rather unsettling

Thanks for taking the time to write up your highs and lows. It sounds like overall you had a great trip! :thumbsup2

When we were there in Aug we commented several times about how rude people were! One lady came through a very crowded area using her stroller like a snow plow and her little boy aged around 3 was using a long plastic sword as a battering ram! If I hadn't witnessed it I wouldn't have believed it! :crazy2:

Oh dear. :sad2:

I can only surmise that it must be a cultural difference. :confused3

Thanks, it was great! :) I'm glad it's not just me who noticed the seemingly sudden influx of rude people. It's such a shame, though.

I spent ages the other night typing up a response on my phone to your great, detailed first post .... and it's not there :confused3 So either I did something (or didn't) when submitting my reply, or autocorrect really got me and mods had to delete it :scared1::rotfl:

So you're looking towards November next year then? Are you still trying to decide on your resort?

They sure do they upgraded us to a villa last time at SSR and it was lovely to have all that room.

Tinks,

Did you ask for an upgrade or did they just offer it ? , was it complimentary ?

I'd love an upgrade from our studio !

Tony

Oh dear! I hate it when that happens.

Yep, looking at November. We're thinking of going for a week now with a few nights either side in NYC, Boston and Washington. Just trying to work out the logistics. I'm thinking it actually makes sense to stay at a mod and get the QSDP, as it's only £230 more than AoA (with no dining plan). The only mod at a reasonable price is CBR, which I've always liked the look of.

Not Tinks but we were also upgraded from a studio to a villa a couple of years ago. The WDTC had booked us in both a studio and a villa and the very nice CM at check-in put us in the villa. I don't think it happens all that often so if you really want the extra space, I'd pay for the upgrade. :thumbsup2

Great round up, sounds like you had a great time, we love AKL and AKV . New York is on our list also!
