Hello everyone, just returned from a short trip to WDW. Here is a quick report, I'll be glad to answer any questions!

We tried EE for the first time on Saturday at MK. It was great, well worth getting up early for! We were able to ride Buzz Lightyear 5 times, Space Mountain, Peter Pan, It's a Small World, Dumbo, Snow White, Tea Cups, Thunder Mountain twice, Splash Mountain, and Haunted Mansion all before breakfast at Cinderella's royal table at 9:30! And we were leisurely about it, definitely could have squeezed more in! Breakfast was great, we had a table right at the window and Peter Pan and Captain hook ran by outside and Peter tapped on the window right at our table! It was so magical! We enjoyed the fairy godmother in the lobby of the castle, she was so good with the kids, gave each one special attention. We watched the new Castle show and were very impressed with it, much better than the last one, imho!

We liked the new parade at MK, esp. since I love snow globes. AND Wendy Darling was in the parade and I was able to see her for the first time ever! That was great! I enjoyed the music too, looked everywhere for the CD (I had read about it online before our trip) but I could not find it anywhere! I only have one complaint - sometimes a float would stop right past us (the last one did, with Peter) so we were at the backside of it and could not see Peter Pan talking and that seemed to be a big part of the parade. Luckily we were able to walk from Frontierland (where we were sitting) to Main Street and watch the parade again because it moved slow enough. So I was able to see all that I missed! We had front row spots in Frontierland and that was about 15 minutes before parade time. When we walked to Main Street and the parade had of course started we were able to find a spot only one row back.

Saturday night we did the Fantasmic dinner package (ate at Brown Derby)-and please don't flame me for this- but we were disappointed with Fantasmic! Perhaps we had too high of expectations from the planning videos and everybody raving about it.

We really enjoyed Walt's new exhibit and esp. the movie at the end. My boyfriend was afraid the whole thing would be boring but was so glad afterwards that we did it, he enjoyed it as much as I did.

I enjoyed the new MGM parade but the music was not in sync with the floats, so we would see the Mulan car with the star wars music and the little mermaid float with the toy story music, we will have to try it again next trip, perhaps it was because we were at the end of the parade route or maybe because it was a new parade without all the kinks ironed out. But still a good parade.

We stayed at All Star Movies, in Fantasia 2000. We also went to Downtown Disney to both the marketplace and Pleasure Island, and we spent an evening at the Boardwalk. We ate at Flying Fish, Boma's, and Kona Cafe this trip. Bus service was great, crowds were light for a holiday weekend but not as light as we are used to in September. We did skip the parks midday so don't know how crowds were then. MK on Columbus Day (Monday) was lighter than I would have expected. The security checkpoints did not take long to go through. We drove to a few places this trip when we normally always take WDW transportation. We found it very easy to get around.

And I met my first fellow DISer, liltx, and her husband. I was able to give them my extra Cindy's ps. It was pretty cool meeting them!

Ok, I'll stop rambling, I'd be glad to answer any questions!

how do you go about doing the EE.we are going thanksgiving weekend and my 2yr son loves the Buzz ride so I would like to get there so he can ride it before it gets to busy.we are staying at all-star sports.

We were at the bus stop in front of the resort at 6:50, bus picked us up at 7, and we were at the Magic Kingdom at 7:15. They opened the gates at 7:30. Magic Kingdom EE days are Saturday, Monday, and Thursday. I have also found Sunday mornings to be light so that too could be an option for you so you can ride Buzz without a line. We enjoyed EE because we were able to ride many rides, leave around 12 when it started to get crowded and hot, go to the resort to swim, nap, etc., then come back that evening refreshed.

If you have a chance (assuming you haven't already stayed there), you should take your son to All Star Movies to see the Toy Story buildings. The giant 3 story Buzz Lightyear is so cool!

We're leaving tomorrow - How was the weather? Did it get cold at night?

The weather was great, warm during the day, shorts and tank tops. Evenings did not get too chilly at all, 2 of the 3 nights we wore shorts but were not hot. One evening was very breezy but not chilly, pants or shorts would have been fine. I'd say the days were in the low to mid 80s, nights high 60s to low 70s. I was hoping for cooler temps during the day, us Floridians are tired of the heat!

This post would be better suited to our Trip Reports Board. We enjoy having everyone report back after their WDW trips, and many enjoy reviewing the posts there. Thank you! :)

Thanks for the report! I didn't think it was long. :)

Thanks SwankyBeth for reading it, I actually didn't mean for it to be a trip report, I guess I made it too long for the themeparks board. I was planning on writing a trip report but with this post moved here, well I don't want to be redundant. I wish I could have had a chance to shorten it and leave it on the theme parks board. I'll know better for next time!
