Just returned Goods and Bads!

Hello all... Just a bit about our family. We are a Disney Family of 5, and have been to Walt Disney 5 times in the last 6 years. We have stayed at value, moderate and also at deluxe in the many years.I have been going to WDW since I was a child! We agreed at the end of last years WDW vacation we would spread the love around and give US, IOA, Sea World and Busch Gardens some attention. So here is our opinon of the parks and resorts
A bit about our family Me 45 yr old DH and 30 somehing yr old DW

Then we have the kids 13 YO DS

10 year old DD and 6 YO DS

We started our trip one nt only. We were booked at Omni Jacksonville. However on the way down got hung in traffic for about an hour and 15 minutes on I75 we arrived at the Omni around 3:00. As I was unpacking the car at valet services my phone rang, and I did not get it. We went in to find out that our reservation was not available. The call I had received was Expedia telling us there had been an error in booking and they had to find us another hotel. It was not the start I was looking for as we would be jumping from Hotel to Hotel from the east coast to west. We normally arrive at Dis Property and squat the entire 8 days and don't move.
The Omni front desk representative was VERY Helpful and did not really have a dog in the fight as Expedia had made the error. I told her I could try to contact Expedia as that is who I booked with, but she continued to help us. We were sent a couple blocks up the river to the Hyatt which was a verynice hotel also. Expedia upgraded us and gave me a 25 dollar refund for transportation and parking fees and a 100 dollar credit on my expedia acct. So everyone made it OK! Her are some pics from our room

We ate in the Landing at Vito's Very good and good service. The Calamari was wonderful!

We left Jacksonville and took the short trip to Daytona as I have not been there since my days in the USN. We stayed at the Aculpulco down at Daytona Shores as we wanted to avoid some of the Spring Break crowd. The Beach was still clean and the weather was fantastic as it was still record highs for the area. the water temp was perfect. The downs for Daytona were lack of restaurants nearby. I had to use my IPhone to locate some of the local restaurants but without that it would have been a Subway or IHOP. We stayed for two days the arrival day was crowed but the next day it was much slower.

We enjoyed the meal at Crabby Joes it was very busy that night. This was the last night before surprising the kids with the early AM trip to Universal IOA.
