Just Returned from the Polynesian

I'll be posting a trip report later, but wanted to pop in and quickly give my thoughts on the Polynesian.

The resort is beautiful and the location cannot be beat. Room sizes are great, especially with two little kids. We were in Tokelau, room 1903, very closet to the quiet pool and just up the hill to the right was Sunset Point. I really do love the resort and can't wait to stay there when the rehab is done.

It looked like they were working on Niue, but I'm not 100% sure of this. I know I had read on Tikiman's site that they were working on Rapa Nui, but I saw guests in Rapa Nui, so maybe they needed the rooms?

I have lots to report, some good, bad, sad and magical.

I got to meet two DISers at 'Ohana - TLinden16 and Mackie's Mommy (sorry if I spelled that wrong!) We were all seated at tables next to one another.

I'll be working on my reports this weekend.

When were you there. We were there July 20-30. 3 nights POR and then 7 nights at Poly. It was our first Poly stay. All I can say is Location, Location, Location. The new rooms are definitely needed, as well as Captain Cooks.

Welcome back scanne. They should have been working on Rapa Nui but yes they did let people into the second floor to stay while they finish but I was told they are done. Fiji should be starting to be worked on. Niue is not scheduled yet to be done but might be toward the end of this year.
