I've usually seen this comment (here) associated to certain cruise line but never DCL.
Like I said, I've seen it plenty of times. You're pretty focused on Carnival instead of DCL, so you probably haven't seen some of those DCL posts.

I have been on different cruise lines. This is the first time I encountered a scene like this on DCL. This was our 7th disney cruise and first 3 night. The guests were different on the 3 night than the other 6 longer disney cruises we have taken.

We feel the same way - it's hard to put a finger on it. We've sailed 10 times with DCL, did a 3-night on the Dream last January - super quick weekend getaway and we really wanted to say we've sailed on all four ships. We were so disappointed - first time we saw behavior coming from parents that made me want to protect their children..screaming, threatening to leave them, slapping...it made us uncomfortable. I get it, I have kids... but I was shocked as we never experienced this on other sailings. Plus the vaping was everywhere - we did ask people to stop and use the designated areas many times; just disrespectful. We said we'd never sail on a 3-night again...but we wanted to sail on the Magic again and thought perhaps a smaller ship and first one from US since covid would be different. Still not our preference. We do prefer 7-night or 8-night sailings.

I will say that although I've seen these comments before, I've never noticed a difference myself. I've sailed three 7-night cruises, three 3-night cruises, and one 5-night cruise, and saw no difference in passenger behavior in relation to length of the cruise.

I did notice some differences based on which port we sailed out of, and based on how filled or not with families a cruise was. But neither of those factors correlated with length of cruise.
