It was a very nice hotel. We have stayed at the polynesian, and it reminded us of that.
It had the seperate buildings like the Poly each surrounding the pool.
It was all very tropical. Kids loved the pool and slide.
We had a kid suite. Had a living room with sofa bed. sink, fridge, and micro.
Big vanity bathroom area. and another bedroom with two beds.
Room was very clean. Only thing we did not like was the restaurant had an awful dinner there, but there was lots of great food within walking distance that we enjoyed.
I even did a load of laundry while there. It is located by the pool which was wonderful.
Any other questions just let me know.

Did you reserve the suite or were you upgraded? I got this motel for June thru Priceline and appreciate your reviewing it. Do you remember seeing a Chilis or an Applebees near by. I read somewhere that there was TGFI very near. Thanks

Hi! Usually you get upgraded for free if you are a starwood member. Hurry over to SPG.com and get your card. They were going to give me an even bigger executive suite, but they only had six and couldn't give it to me for my whole stay. I said no thankyou as I hate switching rooms mid stay.
Just show your card first thing at the front desk and ask very nicely if they have a loarger room available. Also you could call and ask them to put your SPG # on your reservation, but I'm not sure with priceline.
Yes, there is a chilis right across the street, and Fridays down the street. We also loved Jungle Jim's. There's a steak and shake within walking. A Macaroni Grill. And a wonderful IHOP down the street(may have to drive to that one).
One thing because all the rooms have sliders and balconys to the pool that room is a little noisy, didn't bother us as I bring a fan, but could bother others.
Have a great trip!

Thanks for the info. I'll be staying there to the end of April. I was wondering if the fridge was full size and if not how big was it for a compact fridge. Also was the parking close to your room and what building was close to the pool and parking. Thanks for the input. One more question do they have lifeguards?

The fridge was not full size but not mini bar size. A little bigger with a freezer. We had leftovers
in those styrafoam trays. Water bottles, medicine and vegtables with room to spare.
No lifegaurds. They have an attendant on duty from 7am-6pm. He has a whistle and watches things. In my opinion he is a lifegaurd, but they say not lifegaurd because he is to busy to watch carefully enough, he also sells the floats and such. The slide was only open till about 6pm.
The hotel is basically 4 buildings each with 6 floors, forming a giant square around the pool in the center. Parking is all around the outside of the buildings. There are kind of balconys you enter your room from the outside(there are elevators handy), we never had any problem parking right by the elevator(our room was floor 6). So if I'm making sense all the doors are on the parking lot side(outer square), the inside square is all balconys and sliding glass doors overlooking the pool. First floors have patios. There are some inside entry rooms in the main building where the lobby is located, I suppose you could ask for one of those.
I don't normally like outside entry hotels, but this one was somehow different, and I had no problem with it.
We were in building 4 and liked it just fine. Building 1 houses the lobby and restaurants. And I think the game room. I hope I made sense for you.
